Analýza variability tvorby xylému po obvodu kmene smrku ztepilého v rámci vegetačního období
Kašpar, Miroslav
Kašpar, M.: Analysis of the variability of xylene formation along the circumference of the spruce tree (Picea abies L.) during the vegetation period. Bachelor thesis. Mendel University in Brno. 2016 The bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of the variability of xylum formation along the circumference of spruce stem in the vegetation period. Research on xylogenetic variability was carried out on the research area in Rájci-Němčice. The main task is to compare the variability of xylan production in the same old trees during the 2016 growing season. Sampling was performed at weekly intervals from 31 March to 10 November using trephor. From the collected microwells, continuous preparations were then made. The obtained data were compared with literary sources focused on similar issues.
Monitoring tvorby dřeva a lýka smrku ztepilého (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) na mikroskopické úrovni
Gongol, Jaroslav
Jaroslav Gongol, Monitoring of Norway Spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) Wood and Phloem formation at the microscopic level. The thesis deals with monitoring of the norway spruce (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) wood and phloem formation on a research plot Rájec-Němčice during the growing season of 2012 and 2013. At weekly intervals from 5.4. to 7.11. were taken 11 -microbore samples from 6 different selected trees by using trephor. From taken microbore samples were created permanent microscopic preparations, which were further evaluated under a microscope. This thesis is focused on the evaluation of cambial activity and the process of formation of wood and phloem in relation to climatic conditions. Part of this thesis was also to evaluate the resulting annual growth ring character and the influence of the formation of wood on its properties and use. The findings were compared with the literature, which has already dealt with this issue. The average length of cambium activity in 2012 was 119 days and 112 days in 2013. The average growth of wood was 55 cells in the first year and 33 cells in the second year, when the average growth of phloem was 5.3 cells and 5.2 cells.
Analýza sekundárního růstu xylému u smrku ztepilého (Picea abies (L.) Karst.) ve dvou porostech různého věku
Stloukalová, Adéla
The analysis of secondary growth of xylem was carried out during the growth season in 2017 in the research surface of Rájec-Němčice. The work was focused on a cambial activity and a differentiation of wood cells of two different age stands. Samples were taken by Trephor tool at weekly intervals. Subsequently, permanent preparations were produced from them and microscopically evaluated. Cambial cells were active from the end of April to August. Younger trees had a longer cambial activity per week. Tracheid cells of older trees appeared one week earlier than tracheid cells of younger trees. The trees showed a balanced increase in both cell number and increment size.
Monitoring tvorby dřeva smrku ztepilého (Picea abies (L.) Karst.)

Jaroslav Gongol, Monitoring of Norway Spruce Wood Formation (Picea abies(L.)Karst.) The bachelor thesis deals with monitoring xylem formation of Norway spruce (Picea abies(L.)Karst.) in the Rájec-Němčice research area in 2012. At weekly intervals during vegetation period from 5. 4. to 1. 11. microbore samples were taken from 6 selected trees by using trephor. From microbore samples were created permanent microscopic slides, which were evaluated under the microscope. This thesis is focused on the evaluation of cambial activity of wood formation process in relation to climatic conditions. Part of this thesis is also to determine the resulting nature of growth rings and to assess the effect of wood formation on its properties and use. The findings were compared with the literature, which has already dealt with similar issue. The average length of cambium activity in 2012 was 4 months. Xylem increment for each sampler ranged from 20 to 100 layers of cells.
