Štoksa, Jiří
The aim of diploma paper was evaluate the characteristics of fattening performance and carcass quality in fattening pigs with using the supplement of 10 % crunchies to the feed ration. The experimental group consisted of 60 pigs versus 60 pigs in the control group. In the experimental group were 27 barrows and 34 gilts. In the control group there were 33 barrows and 26 gilts. In each group of pigs was evaluated average live weight achieved before slaughter (kg), the average weight of the cold (kg), % of lean meat (%), backfat thickness (mm), MLLT muscle depth (mm) and average daily gain (g/day). Also evaluated was the compound feed consumption (kg/day) , the conversion of nutrients per kilogram of weight gain (kg/kg). Best of average daily gains were achieved in experimental file (761 g/pcs/day ), in the control group was average daily gain (751 g/pcs/day). The data were statistically evaluated as insignificant. Percent of lean meat showed the highest level of the experimental group of pigs and 56,35 %, control group of pigs was 55,71 % lean meat. The difference was evaluated statistical methods as insignificant. The consumption of feed mixture was in the experimental group of pigs 2,79 kg/pcs/day, in the control group was slightly lower 2,72 kg/pcs/day. The conversion of nutrients in the experimental group was barrows 3,41 kg/kg of weight gain, in group gilts 3,89 kg/kg of weight gain. In the control group of barrows was value conversion of nutrients 3,57 kg/kg of weight gain and gilts 3,69 kg/kg of weight gain.
