Vliv pohlaví králíků plemene velký světlý stříbřitý na jatečnou hodnotu
Sysel, Zdeněk
In the literary part, thesis deal with the evolution of domestic rabbit, it´s expansion around the world and taxonomical classification of Lagomorpha order. It is also mentioned actual situation about inland production of rabbit meat and characteristic of broiler rabbit, which is the main product of rabbit breading. In the thesis is description of performance characteristics of rabbits, carcass value and effects affecting carcass value. The thesis describing rabbit meat, benefits of consumption and chemical composition of meat. The end of the literary part mentions the muscular system, skeletal muscles and the basic structure of the muscle fibre. The experimental part evaluates carcass value and deals with the chemical analysis of domestic rabbit muscle and the amounts of fatty acids contained in rabbit meat. The results are compared between the male and female groups. The results are a higher slaughter value, more than 5 %, in the group of females (58 %) and higher slaughter weight in this group. Research has also found a lower amount of intramuscular fat and protein in the meat of male rabbits. Higher amounts of palmitoleic, linoleic and α-linolenic acids are contained in the muscles of females. Other acids - myristic, palmitic and stearic are more contained in the male meat.
Anorganicky vázaný Se a kmín kořenný (Carum carvi) v dietě pomalu rostoucích kuřat
Burian, Tomáš
The thesis deals with inorganically bound selenium and carraway in the diet of slow growing chickens. The thesis is divided into two parts - a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with the anatomy of the digestive tract of the domestic chicken, nutrition and feeding of slow-growing chickens, then selenium in the diet of broilers, and finally caraway (Carum Carvi) in animal diets. The practical part of the thesis deals with an experiment carried out on 144 slow-growing roosters of the hybrid breed Hubbard JA 57 A. These broilers were divided into 4 groups according to the addition of ingredients to the feed. The first group (n=36) was the control and had no additive in the diet. The second group (n=36) had an addition of 0.4 mg/kg inorganically bound selenium in the diet. The third group (n=36) had selenium supplemented with 1% caraway. The feed ration of the fourth group (n=36) contained only the addition of 1 % caraway. The aim was to investigate the effect of inorganically bound selenium and caraway on feed consumption, feed conversion, animal weights during and at the end of fattening, carcass and main cut parts yield, blood plasma selenium content and blood biochemical parameters. From the above results, it is evident that the effect of addition of selenium and caraway to the feed mixture of broiler chickens, was not statistically proven (P>0.05) in feed consumption, feed conversion, weight of chickens, carcass and major cut parts yield and blood biochemical parameters. On the other hand, there was statistical evidence (P<0.05) of the effect of inorganic selenium supplementation on the groups compared to the groups without such supplementation.
Jatečná výtěžnost českého albína v porovnání s hybridním plemen králíků
ČERMÁK, Tomáš
The bachelor's thesis is focused on the comparison of the slaughter yield of rabbits in the conditions of small-scale farming and large-scale farming. The research part is devoted to issues related to the breeding and rearing of rabbits. In the following chapters, the factors influencing the slaughter yield, the breeding of hybrid rabbit breeds and the breeding of the Czech albino are characterized. The final part of the research specifies the composition of the basic feed ration and points out the possi-bilities of using different types of feed in large-scale and small-scale farming. The methodology of the bachelor's thesis compares the slaughter yield of Czech albino depending on the housing technology and the use of alfalfa addition to the complete feed mixture in a rabbit farm in comparison with the slaughter yield of Hyplus rabbits bred in a large farm in Kokořov.
Produkce a zpracování drůbeže v české republice
SIAWELA, Saviour
The absolute and most fundamental aim of this bachelor's thesis is to compare and understand the production and processing measures of broiler parent combination and their offspring for the desirable breeding type for commercial breeders of broiler chickens COBB 500 and ROSS 308 in that order. The data was obtained from Mezinárodní testování drůbeže, státní podnik (International poultry testing, state enterprise) in Ústrašice. Parent testing of COBB 500 and ROSS 308 consisted of parent rearing periods of up to 154 days of age respectively. The fattening test was made in two sets of 35 days and 42 days in that order. Testing evidence results suggested that ROSS 308 chickens obtained a quite substantial live body mass/weight compared to COBB 500 on due ending course of the set rearing period in parent testing. However, lower feed consumption per head/day was realized in COBB 500 hybrids with reference to this period respectively. In addition to that, lower feed consumption was observed per day/head in COBB 500 hybrids during the laying period. Despite the deduced observations though, a higher egg number/hen housed was laid by ROSS 308 hens but the live hatched chickens per laying hen were higher in COBB 500 hens. Higher live body mass/weight and lower feed consumption per kg gain hybrids were realized in ROSS 308 at the fattening test period of 35 days of age. On the other hand, roosters of both hybrid combinations COBB 500 and ROSS 308 gained a higher live body mass/weight and lower feed consumption per kg gain. 2.3 % of chickens died during the fattening period in each hybrid combination. Higher carcass yield, breast, and thighs muscle mass were in this work determined in ROSS 308 hybrids. This is because ROSS 308 hybrids successfully attained a higher live body/weight of at least about 14 g during a prolonged fattening testing period of 42 days of age. Higher live body mass/weight however and lower feed consumption was determined in cocks obviously in comparison with hens in both genotypes. In that order,4.6 % of COBB 500 chickens and 5.4 % of ROSS 308 chickens died during the fattening period due to improper ventilation yet a very imperative factor to animal welfare at large. genotypic difference between COBB 500 and ROSS 308 was at 0.2 % in slaughter yield, 7 g in breast mass, and 9 g in thighs weight respectively.
Využití netradičních krmiv ve výživě brojlerových kuřat
Mánková, Lucie
The aim of the study was to determine effect of milk thistle seed cakes in feed mixture for Ross 308 cockerels. The effects to body weight gain, feed conversion, carcass yield, nitrogen retention and biochemical parameters of blood were evaluated. The experimental group (MT40) contained 40% milk thistle seed cakes. It was compared to control group without milk thistle seed cakes. Lower weight gains and higher feed conversion were observed in group MT40 in comparison with the control group. Lower weight gains were probably connected with lower nitrogen retention in MT40 group. On the other hand, the analysis of some blood parameters in MT40 group was favourable, because of stabilization some values. Activity of hepatic enzymes - AST (alanineaminotransferase), ALP (alkaline phosphase) and LD (lactatedehydrogenase) were related to improvement of liver profile and lower damages of other organs like as skeletal muscle.
Plemena králíků vhodná na masnou produkci
Zálešáková, Dana
This bachelor thesis deals with rabbits suitable for meat production. The first part describes the history, domestication and general characteristics of the domestic rabbit with emphasis on anatomy, reproductive properties and selected diseases. Further, there are selected indicators of rabbit meat and characteristics of breeds suitable for meat production. The last part is composed by experiment focused on fattening and carcass value indexes. Five young Alaska breed rabbits and five young hybrids Californian – Big Marten were used. Their net growth and slaughter yield were calculated. Alaska had average net growth 9,81 g per day and slaughter yield 59,1 %. This is less than hybrids group having net growth 10,38 g per day and slaughter yield 64,91 %.

HAMPLOVÁ, Michaela
This bachelor thesis is dealing with the weight gains and slaughter yield of chosen meat breeds of rabbits in home breeding. Decisive factor for having a rabbit as a source of high-quality meat, fur and leather is mainly nourishment and feeding. The most suitable method is using of feeding mixture by categories. The main purpose of fattening is profit of rabbits ready for slaughter in the shortest time. Meat with the highest quality is obtaining from young animals that are slaughtered at the age of 3 to 4 months. Breeds that had the fastest progress were combination of Big Siamesen and Blue of Vienna with the fattening of 109 days. Rabbits of combination Californian and Blue of Vienna got to slaughter weight at the age of 123 days and the longest progress of fattening lasts for 137 days for the combination of Big Marten and Blue of Vienna. On the other side, it emerged that the most fertile female was Big Marten Rabbit that gave birth and reared the highest number of young animals. The average slaughter yield of all litters ranged between 52 to 58%. The best slaughter yield value reached rabbits of combination of Big Marten and Blue of Vienna that went up to 57.05%.

BOUCHALOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis deals with the meat production of rabbits in home breeding in large breeds, the Checkered Giant rabbit and Flemish Giant rabbit. For comparison, the middle breed of the California rabbit was used. Small breeders are predominantly medium-sized rabbits for their very good cattle yield and short-term fattening. The most important thing for fattening is to achieve mature maturity in the shortest possible time. In our experiment, the Californian rabbit fattening took 149 days and the average slaughter weight was 3144g. In Checkered Giant rabbit took 171 days and for the Flemish Giant rabbit for 184 days. The average slaughter weight for the Checkered Giant rabbit was 4566g and for the Flemish Giant rabbit 4744g. The lowest slaughter yield of 48.6% in our experiment was achieved by females of Checkered Giant rabbit and the highest 56.7% male California rabbit.

The aim of this thesis was a trade classification of slaughter pigs by the SEUROP system in selected utilitarian breed. The experiment was conducted in a farm in Myslejovice. The first part of the thesis deals with the literature review on this topic. An experiment was conducted to assess the slaughter weight, the conformation, the inclusion in classes of the SEUROP system. The integral part of the experiment was to evaluate the production of pigs for slaughter. The obtained data were properly analyzed using mathematical and statistical methods. The experiment was conducted on 314 pigs during the period of 6 months. The results showed that 73% of pigs were classified as a class E, the average price for 1 kg of carcass was 37.82 CZK. The class S included 14% of the slaughter pigs with the average price of 37.3 CZK per 1 kg of carcass. The average conformation for the entire period amounted to 57.6%. The highest conformation of 59.52% was observed in the month of December. The conformation was much lower during the summer months.
