Bohemian Year in the Kindergarten
HEJDOVÁ, Tereza
The thesis analyses the bohemian oral tradition with respect to national culture and typical characteristics of oral tradition, in particular, of folk poetry and prose. Relevant archival materials were also examined. Furthermore, the thesis deals with influences and possibilities of use of oral tradition in kindergarten, especially which educational areas contain oral tradition, how the encounter with literature can affect the pupils and also concrete aspects of use of folk poetry and prose. Important part of the thesis is a dive into the oral tradition collection Český rok (Bohemian Year) and research of its authors (collectors) Karel Plicka and František Volf as well as its illustrator Karel Svolinský. The thesis also contains a practical application - the use of Český rok collection in kindergarten teaching by presenting a weekly educational unit with focus on the topic spring.
