Přínosy pěstování travních osiv pro zemědělský podnik
Mytyska, Václav
The topic of the bachelor thesis is The Benefits of Grass Seeds Production for a Farm. The theoretical part summarizes the history of the grass seed industry in the Czech Republic and deals with the current situation of grass seeds production. There is described the development and actual state of grass seeds production in terms of quantities, cultivated species and yields. Subsequently, there is compared the situation in the Czech Republic with foreign countries. The work also characterizes the technology of growing of Italian Rye grass, as one of the most widely cultivated representatives of grass species used for seed production in the Czech Republic. The practical part is devoted to list and description of the benefits of grass seeds production from the farmer point of view. They are benefits, which include in particular the improvement of soil fertility and production of forage for feed purposes, and benefits beyond agricultural activities -- for example erosion control and soil protecting function as well as bioenergetics. At the level of farm operators are described both the benefits and risks associated with grass seed production. The conclusion contains comparison of economy growing grass seeds with winter wheat. The results of this thesis are summarized in the SWOT analysis.
The comparison of seed production and biomass yield on propagate stands of selected grass varieties
MIMRA, Michal
The topic of the thesis: Comparison of the seed and biomass yields of breeding vegetation cover This thesis was focused on yield ability of the selected ryegrass species grown in the Czech Republic. Experimental fields were based on the land of private working farmer Mr. Pavel Mimra in Slatina u Vysokého Mýta. There were grown three species of ryegrass on the farm in vegetational period of 2013/2014. Monitoring was primarily focused on the formation of yield aspects - the number of the ears, the number of the grains in the ear and the weight of thousand grains. In the vegetational period was also monitored presence of weeds, pests and diseasases and was evaluated total amount of plants and their offsets. The total amount and subsequent use of remaining biomass from breeding covers was also monitored. In the end, there were discovered results compared with theoretical yield. Costs, profits and economical relevance were evaluated in the final part of thesis
