Návrh stolů v historizujícím a moderním stylu
Sirná, Dominika
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the designing process of a table in historic and modern style for six persons. The aim was to determine whether it is necessary to design two similar tables, which would only differentiate either in their material composition or in some minor details, or if it is possible to design one table, which could be used both in modern and rather rustic interior, specifically French Country style. The designing process was, therefore, heavily influenced by French furniture from 17th and 18th century, because the furniture of poor farmers and of city citizens in provincial areas was just a cheaper version inspired by the more luxurious pieces. The result of the designing process is a production of the best design, which could be easily used in both modern and historic interior. This is achieved through the simple form of the final design and thanks to the fact, that French Country furniture from Provence is often combined with modern pieces.
