Posibilities of ceramic materials cutting by pulse Nd: YAG laser

The paper deals with the optimization of the process of cutting of ceramic materials up to 8 mm thick, namely Al2O3 oxide, polycrystalline silicon and sintered tiles. Nd: YAG pulse Laser LASAG was set to drilling configuration. In a number of experiments, the depth of cut depth dependence on feed rate, laser overlay percentage, and pulse energy was determined.
