Risk taking behavior in children from foster care
SPILKOVÁ, Tereza
This Bachelor thesis deals with the problems of behavioral disorders, mainly in the context of problematic behaviors related to seeking individual identity. The thesis focuses on adolescents who were accepted into substitute family care and don't have access to the information about their past or biological parents. The aim of the theoretical part was to establish a connection between placement of the child into substitute family care and the development of problematic behavior during adolescence. The theory focused on the identification of specifics of the early stay in institutional state care and the effects of missing information about one's origin, in relation to behavioral disturbances in adolescents. The research component of the work was based on collecting quantitative data from deep conversations which were focused on the context of the development of behavioral disorders in an adolescent male, who grew up in an adoptive family and didn't have available information about his origin or biological family.
