Office building in Žilina
Jakubík, Martin ; Kalánek,, Jiří (referee) ; Ostrý, Milan (advisor)
The topic of the master thesis is the design of an office building in Žilina. The office building is designed in the corner of streets. The building has four above ground floors. Load-bearing structure is a reinforced concrete frame. The elevator space formed by iron and concrete walls creates a stiffening core for the concrete frame. Envelope wall of the building is designed as curtain wall. Roof is designed as flat green roof with photovoltaic panels. In the centre of the building there is an atrium which helps transmit sunshine to the whole building. The building is heated and cooled by two heat pumps. Supply of fresh air is designed with central heating ventilation and air conditioning. The building create more electricity than it consumes, excess electricity is sold to the grid. Hot water is heated by a heat pump. Hot water is storage in one thousand litres storage reservoir. The green roof works as a retention tank for rainwater. The rest of rainwater i sused for flushing and irrigation. The assessment of the building's energy efficiency certificate is A. The third part of my thesis is the evaluation of SBToolCZ. Evaluation of the proposed building according to the SBToolCZ criteria is a gold certificate.
