Kinesiotaping a jeho využití v péči o pohybový aparát koní
MAŠKOVÁ, Magdalena
Kinesiotaping originated in the early 1970s in Japan as an alternative treatment for sports medicine, and gradually began to be used in the field of animal care. The basic shapes of tapes are: I, Y, X, fan, net and donut sticks, tapes are elastic and do not restrict the horse's movement. In the care of horses, kinesiotaping is used for contusions, stretching of the ligament, various injuries of joints, muscles or tendons. Taping helps reduce pain. Taping can be used as a preventive measure for strained muscles and tendons of sport horses. Tapes can also be used as convalescence after races or during and after long transports. Taping can alleviate the symptoms of osteoarthritis.
