The work takes the form of a literary search and it is divided into chapters. The work describes the types of historic parks and gardens and their divisions by style. It also explains the protection, maintenance, and especially the restoration of these historical places. The work also includes a chapter about project financing. The main part of this thesis concentrates on examples of realizations such as the revitalization of Husovy sady in Jindřichův Hradec, the reconstruction of the Třeboň Castle Park or the revitalization of the castle park in Pardubice.
