Selected legislation in the field of medical rescuers
MAREŠOVÁ, Ivana
In the theoretical part, the problematics of work legislation of paramedics in the Czech Republic is described. The thesis summarises legislation concerning the acquisition and recognition of the qualifications of paramedics, paramedics for urgent medicine, and ambulance drivers. Further, the thesis summarises legislation concerning the health rescue services, the rescue system, the medical operation centre, the emergencies, and the medical documentation. This thesis aimed at mapping the awareness of paramedics about selected legislation connected to their profession. To achieve the aim, three questions were set. The first question. 'How do paramedics evaluate the conditions of acquiring and recognizing the qualifications for performing their profession?'. The second question: 'How do paramedics evaluate their legally established competences?' The third question: 'What knowledge do paramedics have about the legislation relating to their profession?'. Qualitative research was used to collect data in the form of semi-structured interviews. The interviews were carried out with paramedics of South Bohemia. The result is the awareness of paramedics in the field of legislation and an evaluation of selected legislation from the paramedics' point of view. The knowledge of legislation describing the paramedics' profession isn't complex. The thesis points out the lack of knowledge of legislation and different opinions on selected topics among paramedics. The thesis could be used by students of the field of Medical Rescuer to gain an overview of the topic.
