Analysis of effect of solar radiation concentration on the thermal insulation degradation in the flat roof construction
Židek, Ondřej ; Běžel, Jakub (referee) ; Žák, Antonín (advisor)
The master´s thesis analyzes influence of direct and reflected solar radiation to heat strain and degradation of thermal insulation in the flat roof construction. In many building was a problem in a significant degradation of thermal insulation made from expanded polystyrene in the vicinity of glass surfaces. To determine the causes of this problem, it was necessary to study and test the properties of building materials and the physical nature of the effect of solar radiation on the building structure. In the introductory section lists the cases of buildings with degradation of thermal insulation and existing knowledge on this issue. The theoretical part describes the technical properties of thermal insulating materials used in the flat roof construction, nature and division of solar radiation, optical laws of light reflection and physical theory to explain the technical thermal behavior of building materials and structures. The last part describes a practical model and analyzing measured data in thermal stress in the flat roof construction. The practical part also determines the importance of different influences configuration structures using to dynamic simulations. At the end of the practical part they are validated theoretical knowledge obtained by analyzing data from a practical model.
Effect of geographical location on solar systems performance
Kuljovský, Martin ; Weismanová, Júlia (referee) ; Jaroš, Michal (advisor)
The sharp price increase and the impending depletion of fossil fuels has led to an increasing interest in renewable resources. This thesis deals with one of the most lucrative substitution between renewable sources - the solar energy. The introduction describes the emergence and spread of energy in the universe, then is devoted to basic distribution of collectors and informs about the possibilities of their use. In particular, it contains formulas for calculating the basic performance characteristics and then comparing differences between panels. Finally, it compares the effectiveness of collectors for different geographical locations in the Czech Republic.
Simulator of solar light for the solar cells testing
Palla, Martin ; Solčanský, Marek (referee) ; Vaněk, Jiří (advisor)
The first part deals with an introduction to the basic fundamentals and presentation of theory from the assignment. The fundamentals are presented and described in detail. This part is followed by chapter describing possibilities of using solar energy. The paper presents possibilities of using both direct and diffuse solar radiation. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the basic description of the IEC 60904 and IEC 60904-9 standards. The practical part presents selected solar simulators and their measurement. Classification class according to IEC 60904-9 is determined from this measurement. The last part of the work is devoted to the construction of a solar simulator composed of LEDs. The simulator is then measured and its class is determined by emitted spectrum.
Relationship between the UV index and selected parameters
Tomanová, Helena ; Pokorná, Lucie (advisor) ; Metelka, Ladislav (referee)
Relationship between the UV index and selected parameters Abstract Ultraviolet radiation (UV radiation) is a shortwave radiation with wavelengths from 100 to 400 nm. This radiation has both positive and negative effects on living organisms and human health. Therefor the so-called UV index (UVI), characterizing the biological effect of UV radiation on human health was defined in 1994. This thesis aims to evaluate the link between selected factors (total ozone column, solar elevation angel, cloudiness and altitude) and the UVI values. Observed data at four stations in Czechia (Hradec Králové, Košetice, Kuchařovice, Labská bouda) and SYNOP reports from the four nearest stations during the period 2010−2017 were used. The Sun elevation (angle of Sun ray) has the strongest effect on the UVI values. The highest UVI values are generally reached at high angels when the Sun rays go the shortest path through the atmosphere. The increase of the UVI is exponential, from an angle of 30ř the increase is approximately linear. The UVI values increase on average by 0.8 at the Hradec Králové station and by 0.9 at the Labská bouda station for angle increasing by 5ř. The effect of clouds is significant and depends on the height and the clouds amount. High level clouds reduce UVI negligible, overcast sky by only 15 %. Medium and...

The acquisition of energy data
VOJČ, Zdeněk
The bachelor thesis deals with the acquisition and processing of energy, specifically with the measured values of electricity production from the solar power plants. The work focuses on the entire process, from production, continual measurement of energy meters, meteorological data processing, and analysis of the measured data replacement values for the data processing needs of market operator. The result is a system design and software application that cover entire process with a focus on replacing the missing measure data through the analysis of meteorological data.
