Geoturistický potenciál vybraných lokalit národního geoparku Vysočina
Musilová, Karin
The bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of sites that have geotourism potential. The thesis presents eight geomorphologically important localities, which are evaluated by the geomorphosites methodology. These selected localities are located in the Vysočina National Geopark. The geopark itself is compared from the point of view of land use on the basis of map data. The purpose of this work is to point out the vulnerability of the sites. Among other things, changes in the geopark landscape were assessed.
Hodnocení vybraných území Tišnovské kotliny metodikou „geosites/geomorphosites“, srovnání s hodnocením lokality Babí lom
Urban, František
The thesis deals with the assessment of significant geomorphological sites in the area of the Tišnov Basin in the Boskovice Furrow. In the high geodiversity area of interest, nine geomorphological sites are identified and described in detail. The methodology of geomorphosites is used for their assessment. The selected sites include parts of the well-known hill of Květnice as well as the elevations strongly affected by anthropogenic activity. The assessment results are compared with the localities around the nearby hill of Babí lom. Based on the assessment of individual sites, the entire area of interest is then assessed and appropriate measures in use, management and protection of abiotic nature are proposed for it.
Risk Assessment on Geodiversity Sites
Kubalíková, Lucie ; Nováková, Eva ; Kuda, František ; Kirchner, Karel ; Bajer, A. ; Balková, M.
Geoconservation is an action of conserving and enhancing geological, geomorphological, hydrological and soil features and processes. Particular geoconservation measures are very often applied on the site-level to protect important geodiversity sites. Nevertheless, despite established legal protection and related geoconservation activities, threats to geodiversity sites related to the multiple use and human society demands can arise and reaching a compromise can be difficult. In this contribution, a two-level threat assessment is applied and discussed. The first level of threat assessment is based on the already used criteria within geosite/geomorphosite concept. The second level of threat assessment is represented by Risk Assessment Matrix, which may be considered a useful tool providing a complex view on the threats to geodiversity sites. The methods are applied on two different sites and their advantages and limits are discussed. Based on the assessment, specific management proposals may be implemented in order to balance conservation needs and demands resulting from human activities related to the sites.
"Hodnocení území Babího lomu metodikou ""geosites/geomorphosites"""
Urban, František
The bachelor thesis deals with the assessment of significant geomorphological sites around the rocky hill of Babí lom in the Adamovská vrchovina Highland north of Brno. Within the area of interest, ten geomorphological sites are identified and described in detail. The methodology of geomorphosites is used for their assessment. The selected sites include not only individual parts of the distinctive ridge of Babí lom, but also, for example, forest springs or boulder streams, the geomorphological significance of which is currently not fully appreciated. An important aim of this thesis is to remind these overlooked localities and point out both their values and their vulnerability. Based on the assessment of individual sites, the entire area of interest is then assessed in summary and improvements in its use, management and protection are proposed.
The application of the geomorphosites concept in the tourist sector (Novohradské hory case study)
VOZANDYCH, Petr
The bachelor thesis evaluates and proposes potential use of geomorphosites in the travel industry (geotourism). The analysis is done on the example of a specific territory in Novohradské hory. The thesis involves a geographical characteristic of the territory, it describes the conditions of Novohradské hory region in more detail. The theoretical part of the text also introduces the concepts of geomorphosites and geotourism. Moreover, it provides an inventory of the assessed sites (Cikánský vrch, Kamenec, Kraví hora, Kuní hora, Kuřský vrch, Mrzenáč, Myslivna, Vysoká and Zaječí vrch). The emphasis of the thesis is the analysis of the geotourist potential focused especially on assessed geomorphosites. The author examines how those sites are linked tohiking paths, accommodation facilities, and selected points of interest. As a conclusion, appropriate ways of the useof the sites are proposed.
Geomorphologic assessment in the northwestern part of Pohorská hornatina (in the Novohradské Mountains) using the concept of geomorphosites.
KOLČAVOVÁ, Iveta
The aim of this bachelor thesis is evaluation of geomorphological sites in the northwest part of Pohořská Upland (the Novohradské Mountains) by means of geomorphosites conception and mutual comparison of the evaluated sites. The thesis also contains physical geographical description of the interest territory of Pohořská Upland in the Novohradské Mountains and its principal part represents the application of evaluating methodology for the particular territory of the northwest part of Pohořská Upland (Kuřský Hill, Zaječí Hill and Cikánský Hill). Information on the inanimate nature is included in the thesis as well and it is mostly in the province of geomorphosites conception. This conception represents an important tool to protect the inanimate parts of nature that is less taken into account than protecting the animate nature and whose part is development of geo-pedagogy and geoturism too.
GEOMORPHOLOGIC ASSESSMENT IN THE SOUTHERN PART POHORSKA HORNATINA MT. (NOVOHRADSKÉ HORY MT.) USING THE CONCEPT GEOMORPHOSITES
STEJSKAL, Vít
The aim of this thesis is the evaluation of geomorphological sites in the southern part of the Pohorská hornatina Mts. (Novohradské hory Mts.) using the geomorphosites concept and mutually comparsion of locatily assessment. These locations here are represented Kamenec peak , Myslivna peak and Mrzenáč peak. Part of this work is basic information processing about the protection of non-living nature, especially within the geomorphosites concept. This concept is a significant means to protect non-living parts of nature whose protection is still played down compared to nature protection of living parts. Another aim is to develop geopedagogy and geotourism as well. Part of this work is the physically-geographical characteristics of the southern area of the Pohořská hornatina Mts. in Novohradské hory Mts., including sites of interest , to which it is applied evaluation methodology geomorphosites .
Geomythology: a useful tool for geoconservation and geotourism purposes
Kirchner, Karel ; Kubalíková, L.
The relationship between the geosciences and myths is studied by geomythology which is understood as an explanation of the geological and geomorphological features using the supernatural forces and beings. The geomythological aspect can be regarded in relation to cultural, historical and spiritual meaning or value of geodiversity and it can be included into the holistic concept of geotourism. The article briefly discuss the reasons why geomythological aspect could be used for geoconservation and geotourism purposes and it presents several examples (especially geosites and geomorphosites) from the Czech Republic where the geomythological value is (or can be) used for these purposes.
Geomorphologic assessment in the northeastern part Pohorská hornatina Mt. (Novohradské hory Mt.) using the concept geomorphosites
PEŠTOVÁ, Adéla
The aim of this thesis is the evaluation of geomorphological sites in the northeastern part of the Pohořská hornatina Mts. (Novohradské hory Mts.) using the geomorphosites concept and mutually comparison of locality assessment. Part of this work is basic information processing about the protection of non-living nature, especially within the geomorphosites concept. This concept is a significant means to protect non-living parts of nature whose protection is still played down compared to nature protection of living parts and another aim is to develop geopedagogy and geotourism as well. Part of this work is the physically-geographical characteristics of the northern area of the Pohořská hornatina Mts in the Novohradské hory Mts. and an integral part of the work is the application of the metodology evaluation to a specific territory of the Dobrovodská group (peaks of Kraví Mt, Kuní Mt, Vysoká Mt).
