Investigation of NPPs’ environmental impacts using radioanalytical methods
Brunčiaková, Miriama ; Foral, Štěpán (referee) ; Katovský, Karel (advisor)
This thesis' objective is to analyse local environmental impact of NPP. For impact determination, it is necessary to monitor the locality for a long period. For biomonitoring method, gamma-spectrometers might be used. It should be calibrated before the measurement. Within the thesis investigation, spectrometer of the faculty was calibrated in the laboratory of ionizing radiation and three samples of Czech nuclear facilities outlet were analysed.
Gamma-spectrometry in reactor physics at LR-0 Rez experimental reactor
Burianová, Nicola ; Švadlenková, Marie (advisor) ; Krtička, Milan (referee)
The first part of this bachelor's thesis deals with the basics of the semiconductor gamma-ray spectrometry theory that is used at experimental reactor LR-0 in Research center in Řež. The measurement results are applied in reactor physics. The second part describes the measurement of a fuel pin, which was performed in order to determine gamma permeability of lead shielding of the semiconductor detector for specific type of colimator. Experimental results are compared with those calculated at the LR-0 using MCNP method.

Measurement of output distribution in LR-0 experimental reactor core (Research Centre Rez) using a semiconductor gamma-spectrometry
BRABCOVÁ, Jitka
The objective of the present work is to study the theoretical and practical background of the measurement of output distribution in LR-0 experimental reactor core (Research Center Rez) by means of neutron activation method and by means of fuel rods scanning using a semiconductor gamma-spectrometry. In the practical part of the work, axial and radial distributions of reaction rate in the vicinity of the centre of reactor core were measured. Further, axial distribution of the activity of the fission product 140La in a fuel rod from LR-0 was estimated.
