Physiotherapy in pregnancy with a focus on a back pain
PAVLÍČKOVÁ, Tereza
This bachelor thesis deals with the theme of physiotherapy in pregnancy with a more detailed focus on back pain. In the bachelor thesis we can find changes that occur or may occur in pregnant women. Changes in metabolism, skin, alimentary canal, etc., but especially changes in the musculoskeletal system are included. These changes are the main theme of this bachelor thesis, which deals with the most frequent changes in the musculoskeletal system and their influence on the overall posture of a pregnant woman, but also on the whole body as such, which was one of the aims of my bachelor thesis. In the theoretical part can be found some physiotherapeutic methods, which can be used in pregnant women. Each of the selected methods contains a brief characteristic. Furthermore, in the theoretical part, the are physical activities that each patient can perform in their free time except of physiotherapy exercises. This part of the bachelor thesis is supplemented by moving activities that are not suitable for pregnant women and should ideally avoid them or, at least, minimize them. In the practical part I deal with four patients in the range of the second to third trimester. All examined patients suffered from back pain, ranging from mild to frequent and more severe pain especially in the lumbar region. Pains of cervical spine occurred only in one of the patients examined. Among other things, patients often emerged leg pains or ankle joints pains.
Kineziotherapy in pregnancy and it´s effect on quality of life of pregnant women
RŮŽIČKOVÁ, Iveta
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic how physical exercise can affect the life of a pregnant woman. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes changes involved in gravidness, which are mainly changes of the respiratory system, the reproductive system, the cardiovascular system and last but not least changes in the psychical state of a pregnant woman. From the physiotherapeutic point of view there are described changes of the physical system caused by the increasing weight. There is also described pregnancy from the first trimester to the third one and also birth phases. One chapter is dedicated to particular kinesiotherapeutical methods like yoga for pregnant women, which is good for breath adjustment and strengthening of particular muscular sets. Another method is exercise with a gymnastic ball, which has a positive effect on the spinal column, especially on the lumbar area. The last method used is Feldenkrais' method, which is focused on relaxation and feeling the performing movement. All the methods are briefly described and particular exercises are listed in the list of enclosures. The last chapter deals with the quality of life. The bachelor thesis has one research question and two objectives. The first one is to chart possibilities of kinesiotherapy during pregnancy. The second aim is to propose and make an individual exercise plan for pregnant women. The question of research detects effects of kinesiotherapy on the quality of life in pregnancy. A qualitative research consisting of a checkup of three pregnant women was used and followed by working out patients' whole casuistries. All the patients were taught the exercise unit and they have been practising twice a week in eight weeks. During each therapy with the assistance of the author of this thesis patients were given a massage of both soles. Their os coccygeal were examined by palpation, ranges of motion in hip joints were measured by a goniometer. Respondents were also examined by inspection. Respondents answered 26 questions of the questionnaire about the quality of life in the beginning of the therapy as well as at the end of it. Anamneses of all three patients were taken in order to gain all the useful information. The practical part includes the description of the therapy duration in each one case. The research is finished by the kinesiologic analysis and by the outcome of the WHOQOL questionnaire. The research shows that kinesiology had a positive effect on all the respondents. Psychical and physical changes caused by pregnancy were eliminated and each one respondent would like to continue with the therapy. This bachelor thesis could be used as an educational and informative material for pregnant women, who do not have any experience with physical activity during pregnancy and for women, who would like to have more information. The thesis can be used as a study material for physiotherapy students and medical workers.

My Bachelor Work deals with the problem of influence of kineziotherapy, exactly by the activation of pelvic diaphragm on the birth and time of convalescence at second time mother. The pregnancy appears as very difficult period because the woman body provides nutrition for two organisms - the baby and the expectant mother. In theoretical part I´ve presented anatomy of bony and muscular structures of pelvic diaphragm. As well as I´ve descibed all changes of the body during the period of pregnancy, especially the changes of reproductive organs, cardiovascular and respiratory system and increasing of weight. From fyziotherapy aspect I´ve described the change of postrural system when rapid increasing of weight impacts uprising of the body. I´ve also noticed the process of the birth, including its phases. In the last chapter I´ve mentioned the most frequently used methods of pelvic diaphragm activation, ball excercise according Ludmila Mojžíšová and Feldenkrais Method. Each of above mentioned is descibed, explained and presented on some examples. This Bachelor Work solves one important question and it has one aim. Experimental part solves if pelvic diaphragm activation affects the time of birth and convalence at second time mother. The main question is if fyziotheraphy infuences the process of the birth.I´ve asked four pregnant women who attended special course for pregnant. For getting all needed information I took anamnesis. The dialogs concerned their present problems, injuries, operations, previous birth and their physical activities before and during pregnancy. As next step, palpable checkup according Tichý was done, Trendelenbug - Duchenn exam and goniometry of hip joints followed. I´ve also descibed the therapies of respondents. Research includes the final kinezitologhy analysis and dialogs few days after birth.
