Telephysiotherapy of Patients after Brain Injury

Title of bachelor thesis: Telephysiotherapy of patients after brain injury Abstract: The world is developing new medical direction - Telemedicine, which includes Telerephysiotherapy (TF). In the Czech Republic is the TF new direction in physiotherapeutical care. This thesis is one of the first, which deals with the condition after brain damage and physical therapy at home using videoconference call as one of the techniques telerehabilitation. The work consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the information about brain damage, methods of treatment and physiotherapy. It also includes information about telemedicine, especially about telerephysiotheraphy its techniques and possibilities of use. The practical part deals with the question whether is the telephysioteraphy useful in patients after brain damage and consists of three case reports of patients who underwent physiotherapy through videoconferencing at home. Knowledge based on the international studies and practical experience is discussed in the end of this thesis, where is also answered the basic question of the thesis.
