In the theoretical part, I deal with a healthy lifestyle, a family lifestyle and a family impact on children's eating habits. Furthermore, I discuss a phenomenon of food intake disorders, their occurrence and the causes behind them. It is believed that the most common cause of eating disorders lies in the way media portray fashion and how they persuade people to go on a reducing diet. Moreover, an influence of social media has risen in last years Facebook brings about the major effect and is followed by Instagram. I have also expanded on particular types of eating disorders and the newest "trends" in this area. In the practical part, I have described the questionnaire survey I had carried out at the chosen elementary and secondary schools in the "Písecko" region. I have covered its methodology and assessment.
