Optimalizace využití RFID technologie pro detekci značených ryb ve sladkovodním prostředí
KOLAŘÍK, Tomáš
The RFID technology has a potential to become widely used technology with various usage in Czech waters, and one of the major applications is monitoring of freshwater fish migrations. This thesis summarizes and expands the newest knowledge in the field of using suitable materials for antenna construction for passive telemetry. The thesis explores the possibilities of antenna shapes necessary for correct technology function. The findings on functionality, reliability, detection distances and limits of the technology were experimentally tested not only in the laboratory conditions but were also evaluated in the field conditions during the monitoring campaign of the fish migration in European protected area Želivka. The thesis addresses the question whether it is possible to use RFID technology for small, medium and large natural streams or in man-made constructions in the streams such as power plants, weirs or fish passages.
