This Master´s thesis focuses on analyzing a firm of my choosing. More specifically, it is a limited liability firm operating in the fields of architecture, design and construction. Using both external and internal analysis, including other selected analyses and their results, it clarifies the firm's position in the market in which it operates and evaluates its overall condition and structure. The conclusion advises on several proposals that lead to the overall improved state of the chosen firm.

The Assessment of FORTEX - AGS, a.s. - According to Yield Methods

The aim of this thesis is to estimate the value of the firm FORTEX – AGS, a.s. by using the yield valuation methods. The theoretical part defines a firm and its value, the reasons for valuation, it presents a list of particular methods used for valuation and specifies the procedure of a firm valuation. The practical part deals with the characteristics of the above mentioned firm, provides with the results of the strategic and financial analysis, and presents a proposal of a strategic financial plan and the valuation of that firm.

Analysis of the Selected Firm

This bachelor’s thesis presents a picture of a selected firm by applying SWOT and SLEPTE analysis and Porter´s Five Forces analysis. Next follows an analysis of the financial statements over the past three accounting periods which shows the financial situation of the selected firm. On the basis of the results of all the analyses, the author suggests some recommendations to improve the contemporary situation of the firm.

The Application of Fuzzy Logic for Rating of Suppliers for the Firm

This diploma thesis deals with the process of company supplier selection in the florist Dagmar. Several methods solving similar problems with different tools have been described. The group of potential suppliers has been introduced and their most important features summarized for the purpose of this work. The main part is focused on the evaluation of the suppliers according to specified metrics by the method using fuzzy logic and Matlab simulation tool. The results of this work leads to suggestion of the supplier most suitable for florist and its business strategy.

Projektové řízení ve vybrané firmě

The diploma thesis deals with project management in the company TSE Electronics ltd., specifically the analysis of a selected project, which was sampled during 2020 and 2021. In addition to email communication, the author uses the knowledge from the company's senior employees and the information acquired by the author during normal work activities. In the literature part, attention is paid to project management, project and also the quality management system in the automotive industry, as the selected company primarily focuses on production for this industry, which has certain rules and standards. In the practical part, readers are introduced to the selected company, its organizational structure and the current project management guidelines. It also includes an overview of the current difficult situation in the automotive supply chain in connection with the covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the project management in the production of samples is described and evaluated. The project is now successfully introduced into series production. Last but not least, the author proposes several changes for the company that could lead to process optimization and improvement.
