Impact of christianity on fertility patterns from census and survey data in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis lies in findings of relation between Christian belief and a level of fertility, using Czech Republic's census data and parity progression ratio indicator. On the ground of relevant literature, the hypotheses are formulatetd and are asking: Is a level of fertility higher among people who claim themself to be members of some Christian denomination? In the second part of the thesis is to find out the attitudes of university students till the age of thirty years toward religion aspects in general and toward the planned number of childern. By looking for an answer, the Poisson regression method is used. For this second part of the thesis are following variables were examined: stated faith, gender and importance of the marriage. The aim of the second part is to discover to which extent these variables impact on the planned number of children. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
