In the theoretical part of my work, I first deal with the issue of how the character of a braggart soldier is generally defined by authorities. Then there is a brief characterization of the play, where I mention the most important factors of the play and based on that, I state a research question on which character would best fit the profile of the fanfaron soldier. 	Centurio from Tragicomedia de Calisto y Melibea endTrasone from I due felici rivali: characters comparasion PETROVSKÁ, Sara The following bachelor thesis aims to analyze and compare the characters Centurio from the tragicomedy Tragicomedia de Calisto y Melibea by Fernando de Rojas and Trasone from the comedy I due felici rivali by Iacopo Nardi. These two characters are compared between themselves and simultaneously to the figure of the Braggart Soldier. The thesis first presents the issues of development of the Renaissance theater at the turn of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries with a focus on Italian and Spanish territories. Subsequently, it introduces the biographies of the authors and the plays from which the characters I work with originate. 	The theatrical type of braggart soldier in Comedia Thebayda EXNEROVÁ, Andrea The presented bachelor´s thesis is focused on the characteristics of the theatrical type of braggart soldier in Comedia Thebayda, whose author is José Luis Canet Vallés. At the beginning of the theoretical part a delimitation of the tradition and concept of a braggart soldier´s character is made based on observations of various authors. Afterwards, basic qualities typical for the behavior of such a character are proposed. There is also a brief presentation of characters appearing in the play and a summary of the content, which is helpful in the process of the analysis of a braggart soldier character. After that, an identification of the character as such is mentioned which corresponds to the qualities of a braggart soldier defined in the theoretical part of the thesis. In the practical part, which appears at the end of the thesis, concrete demeanour of the character of a braggart soldier is demonstrated and a special attention is drawn to the extracts which support bragging of the character.
