Transfer between verbal and algebraic descriptions. Pupils' strategies and problems

The aim of this thesis is to gain insight into the problems that pupils have when switching between verbal and algebraic expressions, through the analysis of their problem-solving processes. The work is divided into theoretical and experimental parts. The theoretical part of the paper contains three sections. The first describes the analysis of three selected Czech textbooks series for primary schools in terms of teaching the concept of variables and algebraic expressions. The next section deals with international comparative research TIMSS and the success of Czech pupils of year 8 in algebra. In the third section, results of international research concerning the issue of transition between verbal and algebraic expressions are described. The main part of the work is the experimental part, it aims to describe the difficulties encountered by pupils in algebra and to identify their likely sources. The basis for the own research was a set of 9 problems based on released TIMSS problems. The target group of pupils was year 9 of primary school, with whom the investigation was carried out via think-aloud interviews. Facebook and Types of Communication

This text deals with specific communication features of Czech Facebook users. The work is focused on written way of expression and explains it in all linguistic disciplines. The aim of this thesis is to record mainly those expressions that are really typical of Facebook writings. Theoretical part is supplemented with concrete examples that appear on Facebook and it is testified by findings and theory about this type of written communication. We can come to the conclusion that Facebook users often do not observe the rules of using dashes, on the other hand they use frequently exclamation marks and question marks. Users often multiply punctuation marks, vocals and consonants. In lexicology we can find many expressive words, argot, and English words that make the writing original and special. Non- standard suffixes are other proofs that writing on Facebook is similar to communication in common speech.
Painting as a physical, gestical action. Gesture and physical space experience of reality in the landscape

Lešková, K.: Painting as a physical, gestical action - Gesture and physical space experience of reality in the landscape. [MA thesis] Prague 2012 - Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Education, Departement of Art Education, 84 pages. This work seeks to bring selected moments in the history of painting, which combines the gestural element and the physical and gestural actions. This award is largely bordered by landscape theme. Part is a philosophical reflection about the nature of painting as a physical object. Based on new findings related to the reflection of own artistic creation, author created a set of artworks with an emphasis on gestural expression. Linking acquired knowledge and creative experience led to the creation of didactic art range of tasks suitable for teaching elementary school pupils from which consist effort to achieve creative thinking and developing the gesture and action at work. Great emphasis is placed on the motivational process. Part of the task is verified by experience in elementary school. The whole work is regularly supplemented by the visual documentation.
Freedom of speech and its limits

This diploma thesis deals with freedom of speech and its limits. Freedom of speech as the fundamental right which is necessary to proper functioning of a democratic state where the law rules. In this regard the freedom of speech has to be protected properly. Protection in Czech legal order is entrusted with the legal regulation of the major legal force, part of constitutional order, "Charter of fundamental Rights and Basic Freedoms". Freedom of speech as we know it today, was expressed after the Second World War as a prevention of similarly devastating conflict in the future. Certain desire for the free dissemination of ideas we can see in a deep histor when firs attemps of gaining freedom of speech was closely connected to religion. In the 19th century, when the freedom of denomination has found its stable place in the statutes of the most European countries, the freedom of speech has become to be undestood in connection to the freedom of the press, that was the only communicatory media. Miroslava Mayerová Title of the Bachelor's Thesis: Art group 12/15 and its place in the second half of the 20th century Czech art Abstract This thesis focuses on the evolution and influence of art group 12/15 on socio-cultural development of society in the second half of the 20th century. The theoretical part encompasses the socio-cultural environment and historical situation before and during the formation of the group, describes its formation, and presents the work of individual group members until their second joint exhibition. The didactic part teaches students the group's activities by utilising concepts used by 12/15. The practical part of the work carries out didactic task and by form of self-assess evaluates its feasibility and usefulness. The work includes historical documents and articles about group.
Use of dance therapy in teaching

In my work I deal with use of dancing therapy in education through an emotional experience during active dance movement activities. I focus my attention primarily on the perception of the body in space and in relation to the group. My effort is to find a potential in connection of the didactics of the dancing education with the social learning. The goal of my dissertation is to design a dancing-educational project for a specific group of children, aimed at the physical and mental development with emphasis on refinement of the relationships within the group.
