Case study of a physiotherapy treatment of patient with Arthritis of the wrist joints
Liapis, Achilleas ; Satrapová, Lenka (advisor) ; Kozderková, Romana (referee)
Title: Case study of a physiotherapy treatment of patient with Arthritis of the wrist joints. Název: Kazuistika fyzioterapeutické péče o pacienta s diagnózou artróza zápěstních kloubů Aim The aim of my bachelor thesis is to analyze the diagnosis of my patient and find a proper therapeutic plan for his health care and to prevent any further complication. Moreover I will be able to understand the function and the structure of wrist joint. Summary My bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is called general part and I mention a brief description of the anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of the wrist joint. Ethiopathogenesis and proper therapeutic plan is mentioned below. The second part which is the practical (special) part give us all the proper information about the patient's anamnesis, all the examination that where performed and also my therapeutic plan that I proceed to my patient for six days by using special strengthening exercises, Propriomed, myorelaxation techniques and modalities like magnetotherapy. Results After six sessions the situation of my patient was improved. The main goals have been accomplished. The pain was decrease and there was greater ROM of the wrist joint. The patient was able in the end to be active and confident without the sign of pain which was...
British Infantry and Transformations of European Warfare at the Turn of the 18th and 19th Century
Prouza, Petr ; Stellner, František (advisor) ; Opatrný, Josef (referee)
(in English): The author's main focus was on development and causes of military art changes which British infantry has undergone, especially in the years 1775 - 1815. In author's work, given the magnitude and the topic specificity, the only focus was primarily on the study of official documents, which were used for British infantry training and to form a tactical doctrine. Work is divided into five chapters, which consist of an introductory part to the topic issue and analyse warfare factors in the 16th and 17th century that survived throughout the 18th and early 19th century. The second chapter was devoted into two main streams, including tactical ways of thinking related to the 18th century, which Great Britain army faced and socialised with. The second part of the chapter deals with causes and ways of how the first infantry introduces its training with a prescription of all-army presence. The third chapter, as the most comprehensive part of my thesis, analyses the main training document that the British infantry used since 1792. This was meant to be a turning point to the introductory of similar legislation in the Great Britain. The fourth chapter deals with firearms, which the British line infantry used to use throughout the periods of process analysis. The last fifth chapter analyses the...
Case Study Patient with Diagnosis After Fracture of Acetabulum on Left Side
Al Amri, Saad Khazim D ; Vomáčková, Helena (advisor) ; Modlinger, Tomáš (referee)
Title of the thesis: Case study of patient after fracture of acetabulum in left side Author: Saad Al Amri Work placement: Kladno U Nemocnice Summary In the bachelor thesis, which was written by my self, it is divided in two parts, theoretical part and special part. The theoretical part describes anatomy of hip joint, it's bones, muscles, ligaments, nerves and blood supply of the hip joint. Information about kinesiological and biomechanical point of view were discussed as well. In the practical part I analyzed procedures I have done with the patient, all examinations, conclusions, therapies and results. Last part of the bachelor thesis it contains list of literature used in the bachelor thesis, it contains list of figures and tables used in the thesis, abbreviations and the ethics committee. Keywords: hip joint, acetabulum, range of motion, fracture, pelvis, exercise
Effect of Tai Chi Chuan on the health of humans
Kurečka, Štěpán ; Čadová, Libuše (advisor) ; Dvorský, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: Effect of Tai Chi Chuan on the health of humans Objectives: The main objective of this work is to provide a comprehensive overview of the health effects of exercise Tai Chi Chuan and to add scientific studies that deal with this issue. Methods: For my thesis I chose the method of literary research. It will be a summary of findings from available literature and scientific research from online databases concerning this issue. Subsequent synthesis will serve to unite the various parts of the work and the resulting overview of the current state of human health in relation to Tai Chi. Results: The results of the available scientific studies confirm the positive effect of exercise Tai Chi Chuan on human health. Some of the areas in need of further exploration. Keywords: health, tchaj-ťi, exercise
The effect of water-based exercise program on the functional physical fitness in elderly
Strakoš, Filip ; Kramperová, Veronika (advisor) ; Chrzanowská, Babeta (referee)
Title: The effect of water-based exercise program on the functional physical fitness in elderly Objectives: The purpose of this study was to verify the effect of water-based exercise program on functional performance in elderly. Methods: Seven elderly subjects (two men; mean age 70.5 ± 3.5 years and five women; mean age 68.6 ± 8.6 years) volunteered to participate in the study. The subjects participated in a twelve-week supervised exercise program in shallow water once a week (60 min/session). Selected parameters of body composition (body weight, TPH,% TT, TBW, ICW, ECW, ECM / BCM) were determined by multi- frequency bioimpedance electrode (device B.I.A. 2000). The level of hand grip strength was measured by hand-grip dynamometer. The level of lower extremity muscle strength was measured by the 30-Second Chair Stand Test. In order to measure the flexibility of lower back, the standardized motor test Sit and Reach Test was chosen. Results: Intervention program did not induce significant changes in the monitored parameters of body composition. The quality of muscle was unchanged, parameter ECM / BCM remains unchanged. Values of water (ICW and ECW) remained without significant changes and show some stability. A surprising finding is that after the intervention the body fat percentage increased by 7.1%...
Cardiac ischemic tolerance in rats subjected to adaptation to chronic hypoxia and physical exercise: the role of TNF-alpha.
Svatoňová, Anna
Cardiovascular diseases represent the most important health risk factors because they are responsible for more than 50% of total mortality. Among them, the ischemic heart disease is leading cause of mortality. From the whole spectrum of different cardioprotective phenomena we have selected: 1) adaptation to chronic normobaric hypoxia (CNH) as the traditional experimental model in our laboratory area and 2) protective effect of exercise which in recent years represents promising and clinically relevant protective mechanism. The whole thesis is based on two studies. Aim of the first study was to characterize the expression of the main pro-inflammatory cytokine, TNF-α, in hearts of rats adapted to CNH. Chronic TNF-α inhibition by infliximab was used for discovering of certain role of TNF-α in CNH. We showed that increased myocardial level of TNF-α during adaptation to CNH was contributed via its receptor TNFR2 and nuclear factor κB-dependent activation of protective redox signalling with increased antioxidant defence. This adaptive pathway participates on the infarct size-limiting effect of CNH. Aim of the second study was find out whether exercise training and CNH could play synergy in cardiac protection in rats model. We reported that CNH and exercise reduced infarct size but their combination...
