Foundations in Volume Unstable Soils
Legut, Dana ; Weiglová, Kamila (referee) ; Hauser,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zdražil, Karel (referee) ; Vašina,, Josef (referee) ; Paseka, Antonín (advisor)
This dissertation is concerned with the foundations in volume unstable soils and objects disorders which are related to this. The thesis was focused on the study of clay and loess soils which are abundant in the geological profile of the Czech Republic. First, the formation of the two groups of soils is introduced, then their properties are examined and finally the influence of vegetation on the former type and the influence of collapsibility in the latter type are investigated. The conclusion is, in fact, a recommendation on the design of structures so that the system of clay / structure is not damaged and that structures are not subject to renovations. Several instance of problems with structures are discussed which were subject to structural repairs employing both a civil and geotechnical engineers.
Summary of a potential evapotranspiration calculation methods in the selected river basins
Bedáňová, Jana ; Benáčková, Kateřina (referee) ; Marton, Daniel (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with the research of available methods for calculating potential evapotranspiration and the subsequent application of selected methods. The text part describes general knowledge about evapotranspiration, specific types of vapors from different surfaces (water, soil, vegetation, snow cover, urbanized area). The following are methods of direct measurement, where the types of vapor meters are described, for which types of vapors they are used. Indirect measurement methods for determining potential evapotranspiration and their distribution are also described here. The main part of the research is empirical methods for calculating potential evapotranspiration, here is a selected list of these methods. Furthermore, a practical application of the method according to Thornthwaite, Hargreaves-Samani and Hargreaves-Allen is carried out using data from the Olomouc-Holice precipitation station, the data of which are available from the ČHMÚ portal. Then a comparison of the used calculation methods is made.
Tepelné podmínky v chovu dojnic
Masařová, Petra
The main subject of the bachelor's thesis "Heat conditions in dairy cows" was to elaborate literature on the topics of micro-climate, individual requirements of cows for microclimate factors, effect of heat stress on breeding and physiological state of cows and its subsequent elimination. The influence of thermal stress on mastitis of cos was also studied. The main focus on the possible elimination of heat stress was on evaporative cooling, different variants, activation temperature, construction and its parameters. Finally, the calculation of the economic loss due to thermal stress with reduced efficiency was made. Microclimate conditions in dairy cows breeding play a key role in providing suitable conditions for dairy cow performance and its welfare. From the point of the microclimate view, the temperature humidity index is considered, which, together with the air velocity, determines the thermal perception of the state of the environment. Generally this state is expressed by the temperature humidity index (THI).

Methods for determining evapotranspiration and its values ??in the Czech Republic
HOUDEK, Tomáš
This paper deals with methods for determining evapotranspiration and its values achieved in the Czech Republic. For a better understanding of these issues is explained in the introduction to the concept of evapotranspiration. The first part of this paper discusses evaporation, its types and division. In this thesis are also presented factors affecting evapotranspiration. The largest part of this search addresses the methods used for determining evapotranspiration. Here we find treated in more detail the direct and indirect methods of estimation. The last part of this paper presents and compares the potential evapotranspiration totals achieved in the Czech Republic on the basis of different numerical methods.
