Ethical questions in the work of radiation protection specialists

This thesis deals with the ethical decision-making of radiation protection professionals in accordance with the Decree 422/2016 Coll. on Radiation Protection and the Atomic Act 263/2016 Coll. The aim of the thesis is to identify and specify the ethical problems encountered by radiation protection professionals (e.g. radiation protection officers, inspectors of the SNPP, etc.), to analyse ethical issues and dilemmas in this field and to find answers. The theoretical framework focuses on the concept of ethics, its development, history and a detailed description of the different ethical orientations. It then goes on to cover the basic ethical values in the radiation protection system, procedural ethical values, principles of radiation protection, protection from external exposure, monitoring, incidents, accidents and their assessment, preparedness and response. The radiation protection chapter also includes a description of the infrastructure of the radiation protection system. The theoretical part of the thesis also includes a description of organisations dealing with radiation protection in the Czech Republic and organisations dealing with radiation protection in the world context. The empirical research was conducted through a questionnaire survey and structured interviews that were completed by radiation protection personnel. The research results were evaluated using qualitative methods. The research questions were designed by asking respondents about their attitudes towards ethical issues in radiation protection and their experiences and views on aspects of working in this field. The research results were then interpreted to analyse the ethical issues and dilemmas faced by radiation protection professionals in their work. The thesis focuses on identifying key aspects of ethical decision-making in radiation protection and explores ways to improve current practices and policies. Subsequent results provide important insights into professionals' attitudes towards ethical issues. The conclusion of the research highlights that radiation protection requires an integrated approach that respects the diverse approaches of professionals in this field. Transparent communication and public participation are key to successful radiation protection strategies.
Ethical dilemmas in social work with the dying

This thesis focuses on the ethical dilemmas that arise when accompanying terminally ill people. The solution of ethical problems must always be approached individually. We must always take into account the ethical principles of the patient and his/her family, and we must do everything possible to preserve the highest quality of human life. Furthermore, the thesis describes the benefits of palliative care in the dying process and the importance of listening to the needs of the patients.
Unaccompanied minor

This diploma thesis is focused on the activities of Czech authorities and institutions that deal with unaccompanied minors. The thesis presents relevant legal regulations and procedures that govern the staff of Authority of The Child´s Social and Legal Protection, courts and professional facilities that care for children. The work also deals with the ethical view of the topic of migration. Part of the work is the elaboration of a research survey on the basis of elaborated case studies in order to find out the reasons which the mentioned children have to leave the country of origin and which institutions cooperate in solving the situation of children in the Czech Republic.
Ethical issues of social workers working with foreigners

This thesis is focused on social work with foreigners. Firstly were introduced the topic of migration, the history of migration in the Czech Republic and the basic concepts related to this topic, usefulness of integration and migration policy of the Czech Republic. Then was introduced the Biblical view and view of Catholical social teaching. Then were introduced social work with foreigners, theories and methods, also the values of social work and possible obstacles that await social workers ort he interdependence of the field with other experts. The aim of the thesis was with using literature and other available sources, to introduce concept of migration and introduce how social work works with foreigners, point out and than reflect on whether social workers encounter ethical problems or dilemmas and how they work with them. To achieve the aim of the thesis were used not only gained knowledge of the studied material but also results from qualitative research. Two research questions have been set for the purposes of the thesis, which complement the research objective. This thesis is intended for readers who want to gain basic knowledge about the global phenomenon of migration and than this thesis may be useful for social work students or graduated social workers who are working with this group.
Importance of ethics in social work

The diploma thesis deals with the elucidation of the importance of ethics in social work. It focuses on important theoretical knowledge in the field of ethics and ethical concepts and its aim is to point out the possibilities of using ethical values, theories or virtues in professional practice. The work is focused on the presentation of important ethical concepts and ethical values, the contemporary form of social work, the personality of the social worker, the level and importance of education, and various examples of possible ethical problems or ethical dilemmas that can occur in the practice of social work. This thesis is based on the assumption that current social work is in a crisis and its setting requires change.
Ethical issues of substitute motherhood

The Bachelor thesis deals with the issues of surrogate motherhood. It focuses on the legislation of the Czech Republic and its development. It also includes legislation in foreign countries. It discusses the ethical issues connected with the issue of surrogate motherhood from the perspective of medicine, psychology, sociology, law and Christianity as well. It deals particularly with the status of the embryo, the issue of dehumanization and negative psychological impact of surrogate motherhood on all the sides participating in detail.
Ethical issues in the profession of a soldier

Introduction: This thesis deals with the influence of the military operations troops after a moral-psychological page. Objectives: The aim is to identify with such ethical problems they may encounter Czech soldiers during overseas operations. Method: I was doing qualitative research semistructured interview. The target group was military chaplains of Army of Czech Republic, who have experience from overseas operations. Results: Processed talks (transcripts can be extended to look at the appendix) with military chaplains, who are focused on work with the soldiers after the ethical and psychological. Summary of individual questions is under discussion. Conclusion: In conclusion, there are summary and proposals for the elaboration of further research on the issue.
The merits of primary prevention of high-risk behavior in primary schools in the Czech Republic

The final thesis deals with the substantiation of primary prevention programmes in primary schools in the Czech Republic, which are carried out by external employees in non-profit organizations. The first part is characterized by contemporary youth in the context of the society. The second part is devoted to high-risk behavior. This section describes the different forms of high-risk behaviour and factors that affect its origin. The third section describes the historical context of primary prevention, principles of effective primary prevention and the implementation of primary prevention programmes in Czech schools. The fourth section examines the ethical issues. The individual interests of persons involved into primary prevention are described here. The last part deals with the individual principles of effective primary prevention and evaluate the real level of fulfillment of these principles. The effectiveness and conclusion of this work is based on the results of evaluating these programmes. The conclusion applies to the evaluation, importance and relevance of the identified aspects of primary prevention programmes in schools.
Possibilities of next living for seniors, who are leaving sanctuary house
PIŠTĚKOVÁ, Radka
The work deals with the complicated problems of solving homelessness in Prague for the period 2013-2020. It analyzes the ethics of the proposals addressing homelessness in this period and compares it with the Action Plan, which preceded it. Ethical problems are defined on the basis of examples of social work practice with homeless people. The conclusion of my work is a proposal of possible solutions defined by ethical problems that arise from the analyzed concept.
