Identification and measurement of rill erosion in the farm landscape
Vaňousová, Martina ; Larišová,, Lucie (referee) ; Sobotková, Veronika (advisor)
Due to water erosion, there is a loss of soil, reduced fertility, soil prices, increased costs in ag-riculture and water management due to clogging of watercourses and reservoirs and affecting the quality of water resources, threats to urban and infrastructure. One form of water erosion is gully erosion. Three erosion gullies were selected in the bachelor thesis. Their areas of interest and the methods used were described. In the case of erosion gully, their axes and transverse profiles were measured using soil erosion bridge. Volumes of eroded soil were obtained by eva-luating photographs taken with a camera from soil erosion bridge. The results show that from the erosion gully in the Embassy Ústí with a total length of 206.5 m, an average width of 2.8 m and a catchment area of 2.6 ha, soil with a total volume of 69 t was removed. In the Ostrov Em-bassy, the total soil loss from the 201 m long erosion gully with an average width of 1.8 m and a catchment area of 1 ha was set at 45.4 t. In the Embassy of the Sebranice, the total volume of soil removal from the erosion gully 217 m long, average width 2.3 m and the catchment area 9.8 ha was determined to be 45.2 t. Soil samples were taken near the erosion gullies – it was deter-mined bulk density and grain size curves.
