Silos foundation
Minarčík, Jan ; Boštík, Jiří (referee) ; Doněk, Michal (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the surface fundamentals in the first part, in the second part presents a theoretical solution of the bearing capacity of the foundation soil under flat basis. In the third, practical part is solved the 8th unit of silos for plastics granulate in given geological conditions. The layout design was made according to Eurocode 7, using the GEO5 - Patky and SCIA Engineer.
Design of shallow foundation using Penetration tests
Bastl, Jiří ; Fiala, Radek (referee) ; Štefaňák, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis focuses on the principle and implementation of penetration tests and search procedures using the test results of penetration test for design of shallow foundations. The purpose of this work is to compare the design of sallow foundations using conventional methods and computational methods based on the use of penetration tests. In the project TA04031092 – interpretation and correlation of dynamic and static penetration test, I worked with data on which I assembled and tested correlations between cohesion of clays and penetration resistance for the region and around Brno.
Engineering geological survey evaluation of area affected by lanslides in Budkovice
Prechtlová, Kateřina ; Paseka, Antonín (referee) ; Erbenová, Alexandra (advisor)
This Thesis deals with evaluation of engineer-geological survey of area affected by landslides near Budkovice. The area of interest is situated in the south part of Boskovická brázda on the left bank of the river Rokytná. The Thesis first outlines the problems of slope movements in general: why it’s appropriate to study them, what factors play role in their creation, what areas are prone to their creation, how to proceed with engineer-geological survey and how the slope stability is solved. Next itfocuses on the above mentioned landslide in village Budkovice. Geology and hydrogeology of the area of interest were studied. Carried out survey works were summarized. I became familiar with their results and outputs.Friction angle of the residual strength on the slip plane was calculated using Pettersson’s method, it’s value was 11,27°. Simple geological cuts though the slope area and calculation cut were made. Groundwater level was measured on the preserved drill holes and it was compared with former values.
Engineering geological survey in individual stages of construction of metro line A in Prague
Honzejková, Andrea ; Rout, Jiří (advisor) ; Chmelař, Radovan (referee)
The diploma thesis deals with the implementation of engineering geological surveys for the construction of the A metro line in Prague, especially the evaluation of the methodology in individual stages during its 45-year history of construction. During the construction process, both the construction technology and the approach to providing the engineering geological basis for the project changed. The basis of the work is a thorough study of archival documents supplemented by field documentation and evaluation of the rock mass at the rock outcrops. The thesis included a brief history of the construction of the A metro line with the characteristics of all the technologies used in the excavation, which have changed over time. The engineering geological conditions along the route were evaluated, complemented by a clear longitudinal profile of the entire A line. The aim of the work was to assess the evolution of the survey methodology, which has slightly changed, so that differences between surveys carried out in the past and those carried out today are apparent. The methods of excavation have evolved over time, and the requirements within the exploration probes and the mechanical and technological testing have changed based on these. In addition, new methods have been used in geophysical or carottage...
Engineering-geological aspects of the construction of metro line C in Prague
Zemánek, Jan ; Rout, Jiří (advisor) ; Zmítko, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor's thesis follows up engineering-geology of charakteristics of the Prague metro line C. Describtion of the construction history and of the main methods used in the construction of tunnels and stations. The effort was also evaluate the content and scope of engeneering-geology research for the preparation of constructions in various stages of construction. Special attention is focused on unusual parts of the construction, where exceptional or in the Czech Republic non-standard construction approaches were used. This work summarizes the historical engeneering-geology experience with the construction of line C, which can be used in the preparation of the project of metro line D, whose line runs partly in parallel and in similar geological conditions as line C. Key words: metro, terrace
