Turbulent flow suppression in pipe
Jahn, Jiří ; Rudolf, Pavel (referee) ; Štigler, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with ways to suppress turbulent flow in pipelines. In the first part various methods of laminarization are presented, when the turbulent flow is transformed into laminar flow, including the results of experiments published by the authors. The next part presents the results from CFD. The calculations were performed for one of the methods mentioned in the first part and the results were compared with each other. In addition, several options have been suggested to improve the original method.
Numerical Modelling of Energy Losses in Pipes in 3D
Kacálková, Eva ; Stara, Vlastimil (referee) ; Jandora, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis deals with numerical modelling of energy losses in pipes in 3D. It shows the process of creation of mathematical model, used mathematical equations and numerical methods of their solution. The theory is applied on the creation of pipe model and their energy losses with using different turbulent models.

Návrh křemíkového detektoru pro experiment Belle II
Kovaľ, Jozef ; Kodyš, Peter (advisor) ; Kvasnička, Peter (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the verifying of energy losses and checking the implementation of material into software on the inner tracking detector in the Belle II experiment in Japan. The Basf2 framework, which is developed especially for this experiment, was used for this confirmation. First part of the thesis theoretically describes the Belle II experiment, it's inner pixel silicon detector DEPFET and also describes software and analytics framework - Basf2, which is developed for Belle II. Second part presents the knowledge about the energy losses of the particle passing through matter. The last part compares theoretical values with the values acquired from the basf2 simulation.

Numerical modelling of the surface roughness effect on the energy losses in blade cascade
Stanislav, J. ; Příhoda, Jaromír ; Šafařík, Pavel
The work deals with the application of rough wall model implemented in the commercial code FLUENT 6.1 for the solution of subsonic flow through the blade cascade SE1050. Numerical solution is compared with experimental data and the effect of wall roughness on energy losses is estimated for the subsonic flow regime.
Effect of the inner cylindrical wall radius on the flow through a curved diffusser with rectangular cross-section
Příhoda, Jaromír ; Sládek, A. ; Sedlář, M. ; Hyhlík, T.
The paper deals with the numerical simulation of turbulent flow in curved diffusers with rectangular cross-section. Results obtained by CFX and FLUENT software are compared with experiments in a water channel. The effect of the inner cylindrical wall radius on the extent of separation, secondary flow, and on energy losses was investigated for diffusers with 90 deg bend and area ratio AR=1.5.
