Pile Foundations - Energy Piles
Hoza, Martin ; Leiter, Augustin (referee) ; Glisníková, Věra (advisor)
At a time when ecology and renewable energy sources come to the fore, the use of geothermal energy appears to be one of the suitable alternatives. The aim of this paper is to explain the function of ground source heat pumps, to mention factors affecting the efficiency of the system and discuss the technology of energy piles realization. This paper also focuses at risks associated with the soil temperature influencing and shows examples of realization.
Mixed-use building
Karafiát, Filip ; Struhala, Karel (referee) ; Jelínek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis consists of three parts. Aim of the first part is to design mixed-use building in Brno. The building has four above- ground floors and one underground floor. The parking places are situated in underground floor, together with space for HVAC and heating. In first floor there are two retail spaces, gym and office spaces. The foundation of the building are design as a slab supported by energo p ilons. The structural system is designed as a cast–in-place reinforced concrete framework. The envelope walls are designed from blocks with thermal insulation and it is combined with curtain wall. The internal non-bearing walls are a combination of blocks and moveable light walls . All roofs on building are designed as flat green roofs The second part of this diploma thesis contains concept of building services for HVAC, rainwater management, photovoltaics, and cooling/ heating. The building will be heated / cooled using energo piles which are situated under the building and connected to ground – to - water heat pump. In the third part I focused on BIM. First, I describe basic principles, history, and around the world and in Czech Republic. Than I focus on lighting assessment.
