This bachelor's thesis is a summary of the used design solutions for elevator propulsions, in terms of their efficiency, space-saving, and usability in individual buildings. The thesis is also, based on available information, a summary of design solutions from world manufacturers, where a comparison is made between individual types. Additionally, the main parts of the elevators and their functions will also be described here. Furthermore, the thesis contains exceptional design solutions for elevators and an overview of the applicable legislation.
