Electric Volin with MIDI Output
Spilka, Benedikt ; Vrba, Kamil (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
The main aim of this diploma thesis is to design and to construct a electric violin with MIDI output. This thesis include design and conctruction of violin pickup, violin electronic and software for translation of sound into MIDI messages. design of the instrument´s body is presented at the end of the thesis. Violin electronic include circuits for filtration, amplification, processing and AD/DA conversion of audio siganl. Software for MIDI transfer recognizes notes and translates them to MIDI messages.
Electric Violin
Domorád, Petr ; Bělohlávek, Jan (referee) ; Zdařil, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the design of the new design of electric violins. The aim of the work is to break away from the stereotypes and traditional forms of baroque acoustic violins, which are in the design of electric violins often occur . Electric Violin therefore become a kind of substitute for classical violin , this may include a specific instrument , which allows to experiment with violin tones considerably richer . The new design of the shape electric violin should be ergonomically correct for easy violin , but interesting , new and unusual . When designing and manufacturing must be some part of classical violin left ( eg the shape of the neck or fingerboard ) . These parts may slightly vary because each said portion has a specific role to play violin . Proposal for violin based on the basic ergonomic features violin. From classical violin are left only parts which are to preserve functionality may change shape. Three into the protruding part of the body support a comfortable grip of instrument and mechanics, which is located at its ends , allows adjustability holding of instrument by violinist characters . Violin comply with rotational symmetry , which is an advantage , since the instrument can be used right-handed and left-handed. The proposal addresses the fact that the various components do not interfere with the violin ( eg potentiometers for volume and tone controls or instrument input cable for connecting the instrument to the apparatus ) . As these details when control may not see a violinist , but is usually controlled through hearing , are placed in the bottom of the hull of the violin , where playing the violin will not mind a useless way. The material used for the prototype of a violin is wood (possible combinations of various different types of wood for a better visual effect and to promote the curves of the body tools), which, after milling the surface treatment and paint several layers of lacquer . Components for attaching strings and adjustable drives are made of metal. Electronics, which is mounted inside the cavity of the tool body is bought, the additional component.
Experimental Electro-Mechanical Musical Instrument - Electroacoustic Violin with Frets
Pieczonka, Jan ; Mojdl, Edgar (referee) ; Dlouhý, Dan (advisor)
.The main aim of this bachelor thesis is a design and a construct of an experimental electromechanical instrument. The instrument is based on classical violin. The thesis includes a design and a construction of violin pickups, an experimantal excitator, an alterations of the instrument and its assessment. The instrument will use two types of pickups, corrective preamplifire and frets, for experimental tuning.

Electric Violin
Vaněk, Miroslav ; Fajt, Pavel (referee) ; Zdařil, Zdeněk (advisor)
The subject of my diploma thesis is design and realization of a five strings electric violin. This work builds on my theoretical diploma work named Development of the violin up to the present. The body of the violin is made of solid wood (beech) as same as the chin rest, fingerboard and bridge (walnut). The body is white coloured and varnished. In the left rib is placed el. sound output – 6.3 mm jack. The violin is equipped with piezo pickup Shadow SH SV1. Removable part of the violin is the shoulder rest. It has two support points.
