The Use of Statistical Methods for Financial Performance Analysis in Selected Company

Bachelor’s thesis deals with financial performance analysis of selected company. In the first part, selected economical indicators are being described, simultaneously with the method of calculation and methods used for statistics. The theoretical part is smoothly followed by analytic part which contains calculations of indicators. Those indicators are subsequently used by regression analysis and time series. Last part is focused on the evaluation of present financial situation and on proposal recommendation.

Bachelor’s thesis deals with financial analysis of the company KPS Metal a. s. in the period 2009 – 2014. The theoretical part presents selected financial indicators and statistical methods necessary for the realization of the financial analysis. In the other part are calculated indicators necessary for financial analysis using a program developed in Microsoft Excel. Another part of the thesis describes the development of economic indicators during the period. The following chapter includes a description of created program. In the end of the work are elaborated an evaluation of selected indicators and recommendations for the company KPS Metal. a. s.

Assessing the Synergistic Effects of the Selected Consolidated Entity

The thesis focuses on the methods of assessment of synergy effects in a consolidated entity. The text includes a assessment of economic situation of the consolidated unit and analyzes a draft set of economic indicators suitable for assessing of synergy effect. Synergy effect is monitored in several selected areas through a comparison between the consolidated unit and the mother company. Results of the analysis of the draft indicators are assessed to determine whether synergies were achieved after the acquisition.
