This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of ecological agriculture in the district of Tábor. The theoretical part describes the basics of organic farming, the state and development of ecological agriculture in the Czech Republic and in the world. The work focuses on evaluating the state of ecological agriculture in the district of Tábor using statistical methods, qualitative and quantitative research. Finally, there is an evaluation of the entire research and recommendations for practice.
Importance of landscape structures for effective use of landscape and biodiversity support

The central theme of this thesis is the value of landscape elements focused on intelligent land use and biodiversity support. Due to the constant rise of disturbing civilization impact, great emphasis is placed on regeneration and landscape creation these days. Especially ecological agriculture and environment-friendly behaviour. In the theoretical part, terms related to the cultural and ecological function of landscape, and issues of decreasing numbers of animal species and vegetation are specified. The instruments to support ecological stability of landscape are sorted and clarified in particular categories. The analytical part is based on theoretical terms and interviews with stakeholders. This part incorporates an analysis of the measures implemented in the creation of landscape elements to achieve diversity of species and soil quality. This work aims to describe specific measures implemented in the Pilsen region, including effectivity evaluation of specific measures based on interviews with stakeholders.

The aim of this work was to identify and evaluate the environmental burden that arises during the cultivation of wheat and rye. The categories of agrotechnical operations, field emissions, fertilizers and pesticides were compared. The subsequent goal was to compare the resulting environmental burden between conventional and organic farming.
The Evaluation of The Ecological Agriculture in Prachaticko

The region of Prachatice is oriented in the south-west of the Southern Bohemia and it is a part of Šumava Mountains. Most of this region is situated in 600-800 meters above sealevel, which means that most of this part is foothills or a mountain region. The average annual temperature is 7 degrees Celsius and the annual rainfall is 500 mm in the lower parts. In the upper parts (about 1000 meters above see-level), the average annual temperature is only 3,7 degrees Celsius and the annual rainfall is about 1100 mm. 23 ecological agriculturists farmed there as per October 1st. The questionnaire was used and 21 from 23 ecological agriculturists answered (i.e. more than 91%). The questionnaire was divided into 4 parts: sociological, zootechnical, agronomical and economical. The youngest informant is 31 years old, the oldest one is 69 years old. Younger ecological agriculturists keep employees. 38% of informants have a university education, 62% have lower education. 85% of them have a secondary education. Ecological agriculturists with lower education are more often believers than the university educated ones. The average area of ecologically managed piece of land is 216.41 ha. The smallest area, the more agriculturists have an another occupation. 71% of agriculturists farm in the protected landscape area, that means the load of livestock unit, which is in average 0.66 LU/ha. Manure and compost are mainly used for fertilization. Ecological agriculturists breed animal outside all the year round, but the livestock has an access to the shelter. However, the more heads, the higher lack of shelters is. The leg injuries are rather often. Half of the ecological agriculturists fatten livestock. State grants are 67% of ecological agriculturists earning in average, the rest are cash sales. The most of ecological agriculturists put their sales back into the agriculture. Young ecological agriculturists find state grants asking as too much complicated. 76% of ecological agriculturists have problems to sell their products in an organic quality. The ecological agriculturists with higher education produce more complicated organic products if possible. Most of them have loans or a mortgage.
