The Language of Novels for Girls by Lenka Lanczová
Szyszkowiczová, Markéta ; Mareš, Petr (advisor) ; Synková, Pavlína (referee)
The thesis is focused on linguistic analysis of selected novels for girls by Lenka Lanczová (Znamení Blíženců, Kam se vytrácí láska, Potížistka, Dvakrát dospělá). Its aim is to analyse all language levels of examined texts and, above all, to refer to symptomatic linguistic devices, which are used in them. Furthermore, the novels are compared one to each other to point out possible development of author's language. Finally, the focus is given to the differences and similarities with the earlier production of novels for girls. The base of explanations is represented by literary research of novels for girls, especially the findings from Dagmar Mocná and Svatava Urbanová, and also by existing linguistic analysis of their language (the publication Prostor pro jazyk a styl by Oldřich Uličný and Jan Horák).
