Tissue characterisation in spectral CT data
Poláková, Veronika ; Jan, Jiří (referee) ; Jakubíček, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with tissue characterisation in virtual monoenergetic images (VMI). Firstly, literature survey presents spectral CT which allows reconstructing VMI. Secondly, statistical evaluation of tissue CT numbers was made for all energies of VMI which were reconstructed. It was found that with growing energy of VMI CT number increases or decreases with different steepness depending on a type of tissue. As a consequence, the suitable VMI offer better contrast resolution between selected pairs of tissues, which enables better tissue segmentation and classification in these images.
Selected Parameters Statistical Investigation of Fires Development in the Districts of the Czech Republic in 1997-2017
NOVOTNÁ, Barbora
The diploma thesis "Statistical survey of selected parameters of fire development in the districts of the Czech Republic in 1997-2017" deals with the gaining and evaluation of data of selected parameters on fires in the districts of the Czech Republic in 1997-2017. The amount of fires and the amount of damage associated with these numbers of fires became selected parameters related to individual districts in the mentioned period. The topic of the diploma thesis deals with the field of fires, which can be classified as a class of phenomenon "Segment of emergencies" associated with the theory of "Protection of the population". In the elaborated applied quantitative research, the author evaluated the methodological triangulation (the ratio of the quantity given by the existing theory and the newly processed quality, which means a benefit for the already existing theory) in the proportion of 90:10. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts and areas related to fires, which are based mainly on legislative regulations. This section describes the concept of fire protection and prevention in detail. The last section of this part summarizes the basic methods of descriptive and mathematical statistics, which were used in the processing of the practical part of the thesis. In the practical part of the diploma thesis, three hypotheses are verified. The hypotheses were examined on the basis of obtained and statistically processed data published in the statistical yearbooks of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Czech Republic. For the processing of the practical part, the basic methods of descriptive and mathematical statistics were selected, by which these data are processed. In the methodology are listed statistical methods used. The use of the work consists mainly in the verification of the statistical algorithm for fire investigation, the two-dimensional statistical method can be applied to the problems of emergencies. Another benefit could be the design of follow-up work, which would, for example, deal with other parameters of fires such as fires according to the sector where they occurred, the number of deaths or the number of injuries. Another benefit could be the design of follow-up work, which would, for example, deal with other parameters of fires in individual districts, for example fires by branches, by number of deaths or number of injuries.
nalysis of Indebtedness of Students
FIALA, Michal
This work pursues the matter of indebtedness of young people. It focuses mainly on analysing the answers given by the young people in a survey which was conducted between students. Based on the results given by the survey we estimate indicators such as an income, expenditure and how many youngsters already have an experience with loans. The answers from the survey are also used for descriptive statistics or evaluation of hypothesis. For this the chi-square test is used. From this test we are able to say whether the men are more likely to be in debt or not or if there is some connection between the loans and the education. The aim is also to compare the supply of loans for the young people which are offered either by the banks or the non-bank institutions. The information for the comparison is based on the internet sources.
Tissue Characterisation In Spectral Ct Data
Poláková, Veronika
This article deals with tissue characterisation in virtual monoenergetic images (VMI). It presents that with growing energy of VMI the median of CT number increases or decreases with different steepness depending on a type of tissue. As a consequence, some VMI enable better soft tissue distinction and therefore their better classification. To determine which VMI are best suited, Cohen d was used. After that, Random Forest classification algorithm was applied to these images. If median of pixels is considered in addition to pixels themselves, the tissues can be clasiffied correctly.

Descriptive statistics in R with application on real data
Pirohová, Eva ; Bašta, Milan (advisor) ; Šulc, Zdeněk (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to introduce the statistical software R, its use in descriptive statistics and to explain the principle of entering commands and functions in R. In the theoretical part of the thesis the user will be given the basic information about descriptive statistics and the key principles of R software. An important part of the thesis is an illustration of functions and codes which are to be entered into a script or a command window. The practical part represents the way of applying descriptive statistics on real data by using functions and codes in R, including the corresponding types of graphs. There is always an explanation following the example. This thesis contains all the important information which those who start with basic statistical analysis and R software should know. Despite the fact that working with R may be rather complicated at the beginning, this thesis is written in such a way so that it can be read by a beginner in R and statistical analysis.

A comparison of the requirements for practical entrance exams for high school sports in the Czech Republic and their design optimization at the University of South Bohemia\\
VARHANÍK, Marek
The main goal of this thesis is the proposal of optimization of practical entrance exams, for study on Faculty of sport at University of South Bohemia. Another goal is the comparison of requirements for practical entrance exams at selected sport universities in Czech republic. By data analysis of entrance exams from past four years at University of South Bohemia author found out, which disciplines are overrated and on the contrary which are underrated, graphs of results frequency were generated by data analysis, descriptive statistics and histograms for each discipline; based on these results, procedure for optimization the scoring system was set. When determining the new recommended values in the tables of Faculty of sport at University of South Bohemia was used descriptive statistics and a histogram. For comparison, author used scoring tables from other universities, which have shown us how different their scoring system is against scoring system at University of South Bohemia.
Analysis of wages and salaries in Czech Republic regions
Šťastná, Andrea ; Helman, Karel (advisor) ; Sobíšek, Lukáš (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find out the differences among the Czech Republic regions according to wages and salaries and finding some relationships with other features. In the first chapter the basic terms wage and salary are explained. The following chapter describes methodologies of obtaining and data processing. The first practical part is focused on development of wages and salaries time series. In the following chapter are presented descriptive statistics calculated with methodology of Czech statistical office and methodology of Average Earnings Information System. The last part of this bachelor thesis is aimed at relationships (associations) of wages e.g. with a number of universities in region or with a size of population in each region.
