Machining technology of a thinwall part from titanium alloy
Rajm, Vojtěch ; Osička, Karel (referee) ; Chladil, Josef (advisor)
In the first part of this thesis, the basic knowledge of machining required for the subsequent sections was described. Then, titanium alloys, their properties, and heat treatment were described. The next part addressed the issues of machining titanium alloys with a focus on turning and milling technologies. The practical part began with an introduction to the production issues of thin-walled components made of titanium alloy in practice, which served as inspiration for this thesis. In the experimental section of thesis was explored influence of individual manufacturing operations and milling parameters on the surface flatness of thin-walled flat samples made of Ti6Al4V titanium alloy. The results were evaluated to identify the parameters that had the most significant impact on the flatness and deformation of the machined parts, and recommendations were provided regarding the minimization of deformations during milling of thin-walled components from titanium alloys.
