Wood defects as the primary causes of the accident
Lavický, Miloš
This paper describes two specific cases of accidents for which the analysis, carried out in the expert opinion, showed that wood defects are the probable primary causes of structural collapses. The first case is a collapsing wooden work platform used as a scaffold for the construction of a masonry elevator shaft. The second case is a failure of the mounting support structure of the composite ceiling structure of the ceramic-concrete beams with spatial reinforcement and MIAKO ceramic blocks.
