Halamíčková V. Tax literacy of self - employed persons in the Czech Republic. Bachelor thesis. Mendel University in Brno, 2022 The bachelor thesis evaluates the level of tax literacy of self - employed persons in the Czech Republic. The aim was to evaluate the level of tax literacy of entrepre-neurs and also to identify what factors affect this level. The main part of the work is a questionnaire survey, which was conducted among self-employed. The ques-tionnaire was then evaluated and the most problematic tax issues were identified. Subsequently, the influences that affect tax literacy were determined. This is the effect of gender, income, VAT. Data were processed using a chi-square test of in-dependence. It was also verified what share of self-employed persons uses ac-counting or tax advice and what share of respondents has insufficient tax literacy. This was verified using a one-tailed relative frequency test. In recent chapters, steps have been proposed that could lead to an increase in the tax literacy of en-trepreneurs.

Kratochvílová, K. The level of tax literacy of high school students on the territory of the Czech Republic. Diploma thesis: Mendel University in Brno, 2022. The diploma thesis deal with the level of tax literacy of high school students on the territory of the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to identify the level of tax literacy of selected high school students, then the aim is to formulate appropriate recommendations for increasing the tax literacy of the population in the Czech Republic with the aim to increase their competitiveness in the labour market and their readiness in relation to tax digitalization. The obtained data were verified by means of a questionnaire survey and the formulated hypotheses were tested by means of statistical and econometric methods and a multidimensional regression model was created. The students’ knowledge was found to be average and influenced by various factors such as gender, type of high school, parents’ education, or work experience. Finally, the results of the diploma thesis were compared with empirical studies of other authors.

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of tax literacy among high school students in the Czech Republic. Tax literacy is a part of financial literacy, therefore there is mentioned both concepts. The thesis also describes international financial and tax literacy projects and basic tax concepts. The aim of the thesis is to assess tax knowledge among students of secondary technical schools, business academies and gymnasiums. Through questionnaire survey, the level of tax knowledge was observed. The conclusion contains measures, which will lead to increase tax literacy (tax knowledge) among taxpayers.
