Ekologické prvky zdanenia cestných motorových vozidiel na Slovensku

The thesis deals with the systems of taxation and fees related to ownership and operation of road motor vehicles in Slovakia. Current regulation of taxation is specified via legislation. The emphasis is put on environmental elements of the tax and the fees of the current taxation system. The legislative framework of the current regulation of motor vehicle tax creates a foundation for an analysis of car park of Slovakia, which is realised using real data obtained from national vehicle registry, which was provided by Presidium of the Police Force of Slovakia.

Bachelor thesis deals with the construction of road tax with an emphasis of envi-ronmental aspects in Slovakia and the possibility of application this system of road tax in the Czech Republic. The initial section, the Literature Review, gives a brief summary of various types of road taxes in member states of the European Union, further the construction of road tax in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is described in details. The main body contains technical information about selected sample of commercial vehicles and calculations of tax liability in the Czech Republic and all regions in Slovakia. Finally, the evaluation of the road tax system in Slovakia is performed and the possibilities of application of this system in the Czech Republic are purposed.
