Transformations of Benešov nad Černou. Urbanism, sacred and profane architecture.

This bachelor thesis, called Transformation of Benešov nad Černou. Urbanism, sacred and profane architecture of the city, deals with history of construction and with the history of the town, today a township Benešov nad Černou, from the Middle Ages to the early modern times. The thesis analyses transformations and urban development of a feudal town, especially during the reign of the Rosenbergs, Švamberks and Buquoys. The key buildings, included in this thesis, are the parish church of St Jacob the Greater, the town hall in Benešov and the house n. 125. There is also an attention drawn to the works of sculpture of St. John - Column in Benešov. Fountains and wayside crosses occurring around the village are not forgotten as well.
