Wooden Bridges and Footbridges in the Czech Republic

Wooden bridge constructions are taken as a natural part of the bridge engineering in the developed countries of the European Union. These constructions are essential part of the environment and landscape in the western countries. Glued laminated wooden elements are used as a building material according to environment and local customs: the most common material is spruce sawn; larch and pine are also used.
