Genius loci and cultural potential: Chateau area Lysa nad Labem

Bachelor thesis contains comprehensive picture of the unique Château in Lysá nad Labem. The first part of the text is dedicated to the construction and historical development on the castle hill from the early Middle Ages up to the present time, its influence on the contemporary form of the Château and also the Château's interiors, which are interpreted in terms of the fine arts in particular, originating from the days when the Château was owned by Šporkové family. Next part of the work depicts the rich history and present of the castle parks, including the sculptural allegory of workshops by Matthias Bernard Braun and Ignác František Platzer, which are precisely discussed in terms of their iconography. In the final part the work uses these knowledges to discuss cultural potential of the place as well as future of whole Château areal. Key words genius loci, cultural potential, Chateau Lysá n. Using the Potencial of Culture and Cultural Infastructure in the Region Bohemian Paradise

The following thesis deals with the cultural heritage of the Bohemian Paradise. Theoretically process the information about the Bohemian Paradise and about the selected cultural monuments. It defines the concepts of cultural infrastructure and cultural potential. The thesis closer focuses on castles, mansions and folk architecture. Further it analysis the cultural infrastructure of area called Turnovsko. An important part of this thesis is the overall evaluation of the cultural potential. The practical part contains a survey among the inhabitants of the Bohemian Paradise.
