Public interest in winter activities during the coronavirus pandemic and the following season

Název: Zájem veřejnosti o zimní aktivity v době koronavirové pandemie a v následující sezoně Cíle: Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjištění zájmu veřejnosti o běžecké lyžování a dalších zimních aktivit jako alternativ ke sjezdovému lyžování v době koronavirové pandemie a udržení v následující sezoně. Metody: Pro získání potřebných údajů pro tvorbu diplomové práce byl proveden kvantitativní výzkum prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření. Dotazník byl zveřejněn na sociálních sítích, zodpovědět ho mohl každý starší 18 let. Z výsledků byly interpretovány závěry, které uvádí preferované zimní aktivity v době pandemie se zaměřením především na běžecké lyžování a jejich setrvání mezi volnočasovými aktivitami respondentů po uvolnění protiepidemických opatření. Výsledky: V době pandemie covid-19 v době uzavření sjezdovek pociťovali respondenti omezení i u běžeckého lyžování všechny skupiny respondentů, u všech skupin se však frekvence lyžování nejméně v polovině případů udržela či zvýšila. Zájem o běžecké lyžování setrval v 61,7 % případů i po uvolnění opatření a otevření sjezdovek. Při pandemii se téměř všichni věnovali nějakým zimním aktivitám i mimo lyžování, mezi nejvíce preferované patřily procházky (83,5 %), sáňkování a bobování (75,0 %) a běh (50,0 %). Title: Historical development of sports classes at elementary school Jilemnice Objectives: The aim of work is to recall the successful history of sports classes at the primary school in Jilemnice and to describe their gradual development, from its foundation to the present. Methods: We used the method of analysis documents. The source for the search were documents dealing with the topic. Results: We found that the traditional concept of sports classes at the elementary school in Jilemnice was able to edutace a number of successful athletes at the national and international levels. Analysis of the diet habits of an endurance athletes in the youth and junior categories

Title: Analysis of dietary habits of cross-country skiers and biathletes in youth and junior categories Aims: The theoretical part of this diploma thesis summarises information on the nutrition of endurance athletes. The practical part analyses and evaluates the dietary habits of Czech cross- country skiers and biathletes of youth and junior categories during the preparatory phase, focusing on food composition, the ratio of individual nutrients, use of nutritional supplements and fluid intake. Methods: Eighteen men and thirteen women participated in the study. It was conducted via a questionnaire based on open-ended questions. The questionnaire focused on information about the male and female respondents necessary to conduct the research, their dietary intake, including fluids, nutritional supplements, and physical activity over a two-week period. Results: Most athletes, especially women, ingest insufficient dietary energy compared to their estimated energy expenditure. They consume most of their calories in the latter part of the day, most at dinner. Of the macronutrients ingested, only the amount of carbohydrate is insufficient. History of skiimg in the Krusne hory

The thesis is focused on the origin and history of ski societies, clubs and ski centres in the Ore Mountains. For finding those facts and the events I had used and studied chronicles, annual reports, literature, start lists and photographs that document skiing in the Ore Mountains. The relevant part of this thesis are visits to ski museums and especially conversations with contemporaries and participants of ski competitions. The dissertation deals with the history of skiing as a whole and subsequently focuses on the sphere of the Karlovy Vary part of Ore Mountains, especially the region of Abertamy and its vicinity.

Complex evaluation of the basic school ski courses in the Czech republic

Name: Complex Evaluation of Primary School Ski Courses in the Czech Republic Objective: The objective of this diploma thesis is a complex evaluation of a representative primary school ski courses in the Czech Republic according to the five following criteria, which are staffing of the course, content and organisation of the course, health and safety of the pupils, methodology of the training and economic side. The crucial aspect of the evaluation is the fact whether the working hypotheses will be proved or disproved. Methodology: Our thesis has the character of a qualitative research. Data that refer to the topic are collected in the form of non anonymous survey of at random chosen primary schools in all regions of the Czech Republic. For this purpose, a non-standardized questionnaire is used. It consists of open-ended, semi close-ended and close-ended questions. The questionnaire is compiled to enable a complex evaluation of ski courses in accordance with the areas of interest, which are staffing of the course, content and organisation of the course, health and safety of the pupils, methodology of the training and economic safeguarding. Title: Sport event management: Jizerská 50 Goal: The aim of the master thesis is to create proposal and suggestions for the 50th Jizerska 50 and the next upcoming event. Methods: In this thesis was used the qualitative analysis of Jizerska 50 - form of case study, participant observation, semi-structured interview and complemented by the SWOT analysis. Results: The result of master thesis is the set of proposals, which are based on the knowledge and results of Jizerska 50 in previous years and its SWOT analysis. Analysis revealed the possibility of applying new variations for the 50th Jizerska 50 and the next upcoming event. Also suggestions for project management effectiveness, sponsorship and event program. Problems of organizing a public marathon cross-country skiing

Topic: Organizational issues of a public mass marathon in cross-country skiing Goals of thesis: The aim of this thesis is to identify all the difficulties with planning, implementation and evaluation of public mass marathon in cross-country skiing. Further this work should give a example and methodological manual for organization of public mass marathon. This thesis is valid for Czech Republic. Method: The solution results from analysis of documents dealing with the issue. Another source of information is based on long term organizational experience of LK Slovan Karlovy Vary with organizing public mass marathon. Results: The main goal was achieved by creating detailed instructions for organization of mass race. The main contribution of this thesis is to provide the guidelines for organizers beginners of public mass marathon. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describe history of mass-races in cross country skiing at home and abroad. There is also set of rules for mass races and theoretically described process of organizing sport's events in terms of economics, marketing and management. Accomplishments of our cross-country skiing at the olympic games

Title: Accomplishments of our cross-country skiing at the Winter Olympic Games Abstract: This thesis is focus on history of Czech and Czechoslovak cross-counrty skiing at the Winter Olympic Games from the first competition at WOG Chamonix 1924 to Vancouver 2010. Using the direct method and the method of content analysis it documents and summarizes the accomplishments of our cross-country representatives. It finds out that representatives of such a small country reached splendid results. But the available literature doesn't mention them as far as they didn't win a medal. Very interesting is the comparison between two skiing generations using the interview with their representatives Kveta Jeriova and Katerina Neumannova. The resulting comparison between their answers reaches a conclusion: the first of them had much harder conditions and worse facilities.
