The Bachelor thesis focuses on migration in the defined peripheral region of the north-eastern part of the Southern Bohemian region during a 25-year-long period, i.e. 1991 2015. It evaluates the internal migration of villages in the specified region. The theoretical part of the thesis establishes basic concepts, processes, and other important terms related to migration. The next part comprises the specification of the region into which people have migrated (The region of Mladá Vožice) and methodological techniques which were used in the thesis. The final and the most important part is the analysis of the evolution and the current situation of migration in the specified region, the framework evaluation of the population pyramid and main flow of migrants, evaluation of the tendencies of counterurbanization, as well as the movement of the inhabitants overall. Included is an analysis of the results of the field study, which was focused on discovering the reasons for migration into the villages in the defined peripheral region.
Character and Reasons for the migration of the population in the peripheral northwestern part of South Bohemia

The thesis is concerned with migratory movements in a defined peripheral regions in the northwestern part of South Bohemia in the period 1991-2015. Thesis also evaluates development of internal migration of rural communities in the specific region. The thesis defines the basic concepts, processes, and other important terms related to migration. The following chapter deals with the delimitation of migration region and describes methodological procedures which were used in the thesis. The main part is the third chapter, which describes the development and characterizes migration in a defined region, the population movement and counterurbanization trends. It also includes an analysis of fieldwork, which is focused on finding the reasons for moving inhabitants to selected municipalities in the peripheral area.
Migration of the population of České Budějovice City and its hinterland

The presented bachelor thesis deals with monitoring migration movements of the population of České Budějovice City and its hinterland from 1992 till 2012. The first part of the thesis is structured theoretically, focusing particularly on explanation of basic terms related to migration. The following chapter describes the city location, arrangement and hinterland, presenting its socioeconomic and demographic characteristics at the same time. An update on the number of municipalities in the migration region and its boundaries according to the current migration data makes a part of the chapter. The main focus of the thesis is put on the development of migration flow between the city and its hinterland, not only with respect to the migration itself, but from the point of view of urbanization processes as well.

The bachelor thesis evaluates the migration movements of the population of České Budějovice City and its hinterland in the reporting period 1992-2013. It deals with the current development of internal migration, particularly between České Budějovice City and its rural areas. The first part of the thesis is focused on the theoretical explanation of basic concepts related to migration and urbanization processes with a focus on trend counterurbanization. The following chapter describes all procedures and explains the methodological problems and their solutions, which occurred when creating the thesis. The main part is the last chapter, which is derived from its own fieldwork and subsequent analysis. It describes the reasons for moving inhabitants from České Budějovice City in selected rural municipalities.
