Chudobová, Žofie ; Štefan, Ivo (advisor) ; Dragoun, Zdeněk (referee)
(in English): Romanesque sacral architecture is one of the important monuments helping us understand many aspects of early medieval society. Prague and its surroundings belong to the regions with a valuable and numerous constructions. The basic prerequisite for the evaluation of the theme will be the current catalogue, which will evaluate the art-historical, construction- technical aspects and the settlement context of individual buildings. Great emphasis will be put on churches included in the archaeological research. Nevertheless, the results of studies in other fields (especially history) will be implemented into the records, as well. Naturally, burying, which accompanied most of the buildings, is also a part of the records. The result of the work will be a comprehensive evaluation of this category of monuments and their historical context.
