Characterization of elder juice on the basis of some chemical parameters
Mizerovská, Lucie ; Vespalcová, Milena (referee) ; Hrstka, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to determine selected chemical parameters of elderberry juice namely its wild variety and four cultivated types Albida 08, Albida 09, Dana and Haschberg. The relative density was the lowest for cultivar Albida 09 (1.0149) and the highest for the wild variety of elder from the surroundings of Padochov (1.0337). Values of pH ran within the range of 3.62 for cultivar Haschberg to 4.85 for cultivar Albida 08. The highest titrating acidity was determined by cultivar Haschberg (13.12 g l-1), the lowest content of acids was determined by cultivar Albida 08 (3.47 g l-1). The highest content of reducing sugars had cultivar Albida 08 (9.64%) together with the wild variety of elder from the surroundings of Padochov (9.47 %), the minimum amount of sugars was determined by cultivar Dana (4.79 %). The content of citric acid varied between 4.76 g l-1 by cultivar Dana and 13.48 g l-1 by cultivar Haschberg. The total amino acid content, expressed as a formole number, was the lowest in cultivar Haschberg (12.9) and the highest in the wild variety of elder from the surroundings of Padochov (59.2).
Characterization of elder juice on the basis of some chemical parameters
Šafránková, Petra ; Vespalcová, Milena (referee) ; Hrstka, Miroslav (advisor)
This study is about characteristic of eldberry juice based on selected chemical properties. In the theoretical part, it is described botanical characteristic, including place of origin and spread. This part is also about the healing effects of elderberry and cultivating and improving of this plant is also mentioned there, together with some varieties of elderberries. In the experimental part, there were made some determinations the same for wild variety of elderberry and for cultivated elderberry. There were not found significant differences in relative density between both samples. According to pH, the more acidic is the cultivated variety of juice and this juice also contains higher content of organic and mineral acids, reducing sugars and citric acid. On the other hand the wild variety juice contains higher total content of amino acids and mineral solids.
Monitoring of chemical parameters of mining waters from hyperspectral image data
Hladíková, Lenka ; Kupková, Lucie (advisor) ; Brodský, Lukáš (referee)
Monitoring of Chemical Parameters of Mining Waters from Hyperspectral Image Data Abstract The thesis deals with utilization of hyperspectral image data for mining water quality monitoring. Sokolov lignite basin, facing many environmental problems caused by brown coal mining activities is the area of interest. Airborne hyperspectral image data acquired by the HyMap sensor in 2009 and 2010 and ground truth data - chemical and physical parameters of water samples are the main data sources for the thesis. Practical part aims at estimating of the amount of the dissolved iron and suspended sediments in selected water bodies. Two approaches were used to achieve this goal - the empirically derived relationship between the ground measurements and reflectance of the water bodies, and spectral unmixing method. Comparison of the two mentioned approaches and evaluation of validity to use the proposed methods for the data acquired by the same sensor one year later is also a part of this thesis.
