The subject of the bachelor thesis is the revitalization of the non-functional recreation area in Manínská Tiesňava, in the Považská Teplá district. The project restores the function of accommodation to the area and adds new functions to it so that its operation is sustainable throughout the year and meets modern requirements for temporary accommodation. It creates a new economic value in the locality and brings back the once developed tourism to the place. It deals with the sustainability of both operations and the use of renewable energy sources. The design is in harmony with the landscape and through inspiration from local traditional architecture, uses proven building principles in the selected location.

The subject of the bachelor thesis is the design of an agro-tourist farm in Mengusovce, a village located at the foot of the High Tatras in eastern Slovakia. The project deals with ecology, sustainability and the use of off-the-grid technologies. All activities on the farm are focused on supporting a healthy relationship with nature. The aim of this project is to create a recreational area that will promote eco farming, help tourism in Mengusovce, inspire a better lifestyle and motivate people to protect and learn about nature.

Origin and initial development of the interwar resort Pikovice

This thesis deals with recreational activities at the end of 19th and beginning of 20th century. Theoretical part focuses on society that is going through significant changes in the process of industrialization. The middle class of society is trying to demonstrate their social status by leisure time activities. Many people are becoming members of sports and touristic clubs. They also take interest in their local environment and cultural events generally. These activities are also frequently followed by raising nationalism. Important chapter is devoted to landscape ecology. At the end of the theoretical part there's also analysis of historical novel mentioning this topic. The empirical research describes origins and development of Pikovice summer resort which served to Prague citizens mainly. First there's a description of environment and geography of the region followed by local history. The key chapter is explaining in detail the development of private recreational houses and then it analyzes social status of their owners and of the construction companies that were involved. Also a discussion is given about the changes in landscape caused by extended construction works. Key words: Pikovice, Recreation, Villas, Cabins, Tramping, Industrialization, Countryside

Recration in the cabins in the Pelhřimov district (development, territory form and typological diversity)

My graduation theses is concerned on recreation in cottages in Pelhřimov region. As the date base were used data obtained from the terrain examination. There were noted 2974 cottages which are situated in 130 cottages settlements. Recognized were cottages recreation, gardening-recreation, gardening, architectural-buildings specific and weekend houses. Part of this graduation is also analyse of the territorial arrangement of the cottage settlements and their typology. Established characteristics are recorded in charts and maps which are also its part. In conclusion there is comparison of the recreation in cottages in Pelhřimov region and in Jihlava region.

Cabin recreation in the district of Třebíč (development, territory form and typological diversity)

The thesis deals with cottage keeping in interest area of the region of Třebíč. On the basis of own off-road survey there was determined data basio providing indications and information about cottage settlements in this territory. On the whole there was added together 3788 cottages aggregated into 150 cottage settlements which are to be found in 7 cottage precincts. There were found recreation, garden {--} recreation, allotment {--} gardener, recreation shanties and architectural {--} structurally specific cottages. The thesis contains the analysis of the territorial arrangement of cottage settlements and their typology. Observed characteristics are registered in synoptical charts and in files of thematic maps which form the appendix of the work. The component part of the thesis is also a chapter which is devoted to the hike development history and the construction of camping settlements on the river Jihlava, Oslava and little river Chvojnice. In the close of my work there is a worked out analysis of territorial {--} planning and developing cottage keeping problems in solved area and the comparison of the cottage keeping development in the region of Třebíč to the stage of the region of Jihlava .
