The Visegrad Group Productivity
CAPLOVÁ, Marie
The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate productivity of the countries which are part of the Visegrad Group (i.e. the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia) from the macroeconomics perspective. Important terms referring to the productivity are introduced at the beginning. The thesis also describes the labour productivity, the indicators of capital and the economic growth. The calculations of the productivity types of the Visegrad Group are carried out. It also deals with the productivity analysis of other European Union members, as they are defined as NUTS 0. It compares the individual states´ productivity differences at the time of their entry into the European Union. Finally, the thesis evaluates the productivity of both the Visegrad Group and various regions of European Union.
