The topic of this thesis is "Tourism and sustainability for example of cycling in České Budějovice region." The main aim of this study was to explore the possibilities and levels of cycling in České Budějovice from the point of view of sustainability, then to arrange a cycling development plan in the region and to create appropriate tourism product including implementation to market.

It describes the region, level and length of bike routs, analysis services and possible activities. It was carried out using marketing research. Development possibilities were recommended based on the analysis and self knowledge.
Description of the tourist routes in the region known as Czech Canada (hiking trails, bicycle trails, ski trails, water routes)

This thesis work describes the hiking, bicycle, ski, and horse trails in the region known as ?Czech Canada?, specifically the area between Nová Bystřice, Kunžák, and Slavonice marked on the hiking map ?Česká Kanada a Slavonicko? on a 1:50,000 scale. The introductory chapters characterize the territorial layout from the physical-geographic and socio-geographic aspects and include an analysis of used literature. The methodology of work is taken from thesis works of a similar topic defended at the Department of Geography. This is followed by a description of individual hiking trails ? in text form as well as in information panels (this includes information on the surface type, the surrounding landscape, monuments in the area, geometry of the trails, and more). These texts, panels, and attached map with a drawing of the described trails permit one to embark on individual hiking, bicycle, ski, and other tourist journeys. The conclusion of the work is supplemented by a didactic transformation of the resolved issue. The attachment consists of photographs and a glossary of topographical terms.
Suggestion and homologation of cycling routes in the area of Blanský les\\

My thesis focuses on verification and projecting of cycle tracks in the Protected Landscape Area of Blansky Forest. It also considers current state of the tracks its description and suggestions how to improve and increase attraction of the tracks. Further my thesis deals with new draughts of the tracks whose goal should be recognition of the landscape combined with physical activity and at the same time the newly proposed tracks should only sensitively trench the enviroment of the area.Each of the track will be visualized and drawn into the map or eventually designed for using GPS navigation including kilometrage, crossfalls and KPČ suggestions.
Cycling tourism and its importance to the development of tourism in the region

The aim of this work was to evaluate the present condition of cycling tourism and its importance to the regional development of tourism in the region of Klatovy. The starting point was to define tourism and cycling, to explain basic terms, then to specify the region. The following analysis defined the primary and secondary offers of the region. On the basis of my questionnaire research there were suggested new options of developing cycling and tourism in the region of Klatovy. These ones reccomend to focuse on the region promotion especially on the internet and in the information centres. Additional services as lay-by places, litter bins or larking stands are missing and that was found as one of the main imperfections of this region. This situation expected to be improved. There was proposed the improvement of the services for cyclists {--} bike rents, bicycle repair shops, cycle stores. National certificate system {\clqq}Cyclists Welcome`` helps to improve services of accommodation and food facilities and to increase visiting sights. If some options are realised, it will lead to the enlargement of the offer, attracting more tourists and improvment the offered services.
Cycling as a form of integrated tourism in the area of "Česká Kanada"

The aim of this work was to introduce cycling as a part of integrated tourism. I tried to find out whether the area of "Česká Kanada" is a favourite cycling region. In literary background research I explained notions such as tourism and cycling and characterized that area. I have made survey to find out the development of cycling in that particular area. The information found from the survey was analysed by means of graphs and charts. Next I have mapped information centres and shops for cyclists and processed possibilities of accommodation. I have made a list of cycling routes that are interesting in that area. In the very end I want to say that area of "Česká Kanada" is paradise for cyclists.
Accident Frequency of Cyclists

In compliance with a worldwide there is a growing interest in cycling tourism even in the Czech Republic Cycling is getting modern and is starting to be an inseparable part of lifestyle. Today{\crq}s situation brings positive and negative consequences. The most important negative one is growing accident rate that is connected with considerable economic losses and mainly with casualties. The aim of this work was to collect dates concerning all accidents with bikers attendance in the region of České Budějovice from April 2006 to October 2006 and consequently to analyze cyclist{\crq}s injuries. By this research was found out that in corpus 60% of accidents with cyclists attendance result in head injury of the cyclist. This injury forms 35% of all cyclists{\crq} injuries in corpus. The second most frequent injury is a leg injury with 40%.
Cycletourism and its influence on tourism development in Tabor´s agglomeration

Main goal of these work was evaluate cycling and its influence on tourism development in Tábor´s agglomeration. Next goals were analysed cycleways which are going thorough Tábor´s agglomeration and analysed cycling actions. For this estimation was needed to carry out questionnaire investigation. On the basis results of investigation were processed marketing suggestions and steps for the development of cycling in monitored areas.
